A Kentucky woman marries her organ donor’s brother decades after she went through a life-saving liver transplant. Brooklyn Dotson, 24, was given only three days to live before she got her miracle donation from 10-year-old Michael Waters, who tragically died in a car accident. No one knew until now that he’d also help give her another huge gift in her life—through her connection with his brother.

Even before age 10, Michael expressed a desire to be an organ donor. Through the transplant, Brooklyn met his younger brother, Noah, and the two became childhood friends, which blossomed into a romance as they got older.
"I'd say he probably knew what his purpose was," said Noah, who is from Ohio. "I had no idea that my brother was going to save my wife's life 20 years later."
Michael’s limbs, heart, eyes, lungs, and kidneys were donated to other patients. The man who received his heart will also attend Brooklyn's and Noah’s wedding in September.
Family Sees God’s Hand in Their Remarkable Story
The family believes that God had a hand in how their lives have played out. Noah’s cousin, Beth Poteet, firmly believes that Michael was meant to have a legacy live on through Brooklyn and Noah.
"I get to enjoy life because of him, and I get to live and hopefully honor his memory the best way that I can," Brooklyn said about Michael. “... I am a walking, living, breathing miracle, and I know God has played a role in this.”
This is honestly the most beautiful miracle I have ever heard of. Michael’s family already meant so much to Brooklyn and her family, and now that’s multiplied ten-fold. One little boy was able to do that. Thank God for his generous heart.
