Light a Fire in My Heart

A song about seeking a renewal with the Lord, and trusting in his grace to bring it about.

One of the first songs published on The Stones Been Rolled Away CD by Reverend Bill and Friends, this is a cover by A Band of Christians with a heavier rock vibe. The early version was pop and used for congregational worship at CFFC Church in the early 2000 time frame.

Psalm 23

This adaptation of Psalm 23 features two archaic terms: “shibboleth” and “twyndyllyngs.” A shibboleth (an old Hebrew term) is a phrase, cry, or slogan that distinguishes one group from another; and twyndyllyngs is an old English term from which we get the word “twins.”

The Lord is my Shepherd so I do not lack
In ever green pastures He bids me lie back
Beside the still waters the Lord and I stroll
And there in the stillness He strengthens my soul

He leads me along in the paths I should take
He guides me in righteousness for His name’s sake
And though I may walk through the valley of death
“I shall fear no evil,” is my shibboleth

For You are here with me…Your rod and Your staff
They comfort and shield me…at death I can laugh
You spread out a banquet in view of my foes
You rain Your anointing; my cup overflows

Your goodness and mercy…those sweet twyndyllyngs
Shall follow me…carry me…on their great wings
And I shall dwell in your house all of my days
Abiding forever and singing your praise

Never Fail

Never Fail is a new gospel song by Dewale, a gospel artist. https://www.facebook.com/dewalemuzic/

O Jesus, You Whose Life Fills all Creation

This song was written in 1947 by a man who 3 years before had been saved and rescued from a life of alcoholism. He went on to become a well-known evangelist. It is filled with powerful longing and hope, and has stood the test of time. The person singing this version does it in gypsy-style, and he himself was from that persecuted minority, but the scandinavian branch -sometimes known as 'taters'.

You Are For Me by Melissa Stephens

When it's hardest to sing, keep singing! This song was recorded 9/11/18 the first anniversary of my miscarriage in 2017.

After the Benediction-promo1

Available Now on Amazon in paperback & Kindle!

After the Benediction will take you on an extraordinary journey… Evangelist Jacey Joyner is loved and admired by as many people who envy her. To the untrained eye, she appears to have it all together; a beautiful family, a thriving ministry, and people to fawn over her. However, after the benediction; she struggles immensely with her own reality, to the point that she is haunted by a suicidal presence. Her refusal to forgive her father, former Bishop Jason Loftin, for his thoughtless and scandalous acts, sows grave seeds of bitterness within her that threaten to destroy her relationship with God, her family, and her ministry. Unable to continue carrying the weighty load of people’s expectations, Jacey is on the verge of simply walking away from it all. However, an ordained encounter with a spiritual eye that is capable of seeing beyond her facade and is unmoved by her title and accomplishments, confronts her with truth, love, and kindness. Will pride keep Jacey from accepting the truth about her spiritual stagnancy? Or will she have an ear to hear the voice of wisdom and instruction that will rekindle her passion for God and for ministering to his people?

Seems I Never Knew, Song by Ezekiel,To Jesus

This song was inspired by recalling the Lord's very real pain, and a deep pull in My heart to somehow comfort Him.

Seems I Never Knew

Seems I never knew
The pain inside Your Heart
Much too busy - to hear

Seems I never cared
To cast my glance Your way
Much too selfish - to see

Now You’re asking me
To hold You in my arms
Just to comfort Your Heart

Now that I can see
The tears You cry alone
To be with You - in Your grief

How the days go by
And vanish in the breeze
Much too foolish, to know

Still You wait for me
To spend the time away
To be with You
To be with You

WORRY by Brian Mark Weller

"Worry" the last song on the "Back to the Cross" EP and is different from the others both musically and lyrically. That's why I put it last. I wanted to leave listeners with the idea that they don't have to worry today or any day. Using some humor and sarcasm, I point out that worry is counterproductive. "Worry" It is a fun song, but one I pray will encourage believers in Jesus to trust God in all things. Jesus told us not to worry because He is in control! He not only promised He would take care of us, but also promised that worry would not change a thing. Worry, fear and anxiety have no power to change things for the good.

Here is what Jesus said about worry in Luke 12:22-26 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?"

Least of These by Trinity Pilot feat Allison Bray

Official music video for "Least of These" by Trinity Pilot (featuring Allison Bray)

This song was inspired by a true story and is about caring for the homeless and others in need.

Lyrics

Like a child out of place
Who fell so far from grace
Longing to have a home
The deep lines on his face,
The pain that he can’t erase
He learns this is not the place where he belongs

Oh, we say we follow Him (But we don’t), as we spit in his face
Oh, we say we stand with Him (But we won’t) but, we’re the persecutors he’ll face
He don’t belong in our place!

Homeless in the street
With nothing much to eat
No one stops or even cares
Beaten with defeat
Not one you’d want to meet
And all he gets are shameful, empty stares

Oh, we say we follow Him (But we don’t), as we spit in his face
Oh, we say we stand with Him (But we won’t) but, we’re the persecutors he’ll face
He don’t belong in our place!

And we’re telling people we can change the world
But then our deeds and actions contradict the Word
The children are crying
While the homeless are dying
All over the world

So with a heart that’s broken,
True words can’t be spoken
When it’s the least of these that we forsake
And the cold wind’s blowing
So many church bells tolling
Is Jesus Christ the one we truly elevate?

Oh, we say we follow Him (But we don’t), as we spit in his face
Oh, we say we stand with Him (But we won’t) but, we’re the persecutors he’ll face
Get Him out of our place!

And we’re telling people we can change the world
But then our deeds and actions contradict the Word
The children are crying
While the homeless are dying
All over the world

(Children singing)
And you’re telling people you can change the world
But for greed of money you go and change

Zachariah's Canticle, Christian Hymn Music, by Ezekiel

Lyrics taken from Zachariah's Canticle:

Luke 1:68-79

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; because he hath visited and wrought the redemption of His people:
And hath raised up an horn of salvation to us, in the house of David his servant:
As he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, who are from the beginning:
Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us:
To perform mercy to our fathers, and to remember his holy testament,
The oath, which he swore to Abraham our father, that he would grant to us,
That being delivered from the hand of our enemies, we may serve him without fear,
In holiness and justice before him, all our days.
And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways:
To give knowledge of salvation to his people, unto the remission of their sins:
Through the bowels of the mercy of our God, in which the Orient from on high hath visited us:
To enlighten them that sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death: to direct our feet into the way of peace.

Thank you for listening to our channel. Blessings of our dear Savior be with you.

Clare
