“We have to forgive. If not, then the pain and the hate will close the way to the grace of God.” As ISIS perpetrates violence in the name of Allah, we must demonstrate the love of Jesus to persecuted Christians, Yazidis and Muslims in northern Iraq.
An exquisite song by Audrey Assad, called "I Shall Not Want", based on Psalm 23:1. From her album "Fortunate Fall". I'm pretty sure that's also Audrey playing the lovely keyboard. Co-written by Bryan Brown.
What a wonderful songwriter and musician Laura Story is. Her lyrics are not particularly deep, but they are passionate and meaningful. They cut right to the core, and I think that's important, since it makes the Gospel message very accessible to many who might be baffled by intricate lyrics. Plus, her music is very singable and playable. I love her style.
This is from her album "God Of Every Story". Basically the message is "God is good, all the time." And there is no one like Him.
I make a lot of YouTube videos. I have a "To-Do" list of songs for which I want to make videos. Yesterday my wife asked me to make a video for this song, Rachael Lampa singing "I Choose You". It's one of her favorite Christmas season songs. Of course, it went right to the top of my "To-Do" list. Not an easy song to make a video for. There are not a lot of pictures of God speaking to Mary. So I chose a lot of pictures from the fabulous movie "The Nativity Story". As far as I know, Rachael did not record this on any of her own albums, this version is from a wonderful compilation album called "One Silent Night". Probably the second-best Christmas album ever, the first being "Good News" by Kathy Mattea.
Narrated micro-movie of a young mother who has found spiritual healing in the love of God through His Son, Jesus the Christ and through the love and compassion displayed by the body of Christ at His command.(that we love one another)
God can only allow us to see our sin. The blessedness of seeing our sin through and through, from thought to motive to action. Seeing it more and more makes us grow in the Grace of our Lord Jesus
A Spoken Word Poem about a Child with Disabilities who Realizes she is More than Perfect Inside. From the spoken word album, Blue Tennis Shoes and Alligators by Mark Stracener
