4/29 To the Glory of God (1 Samuel 4:21) "No Ichabods Here" Eli allowed his sons to do anything they wanted in the house of the Lord and because of that the glory of God was no longer with him or his household. The wife of one of Eli's sons, Phinehas, named her child Ichabod, because the glory of the Lord had departed. Pastor Jeff and Sis. E share that God's goodness, His glory should always be seen and if it isn't, you just might find yourself in an Ichabod situation or around someone "named" Ichabod. This is how my beautiful "baby" sister Paula helped her children adjust to the fact that she would be losing all her hair once her chemo began. Paula had lymphoma and went to be with God on Dec. 18th, 2013. I so miss her. Music by: MercyMe & Song Title is: This Life
"He will sit as a refiner, and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the LORD an offering in righteousness." (Malachi 3:3)
This video jam titled "How much are you willing to trust God?" comes from a sermon preached by Dr. Vincent G. Artese titled "How much are you willing to trust God?".

Clay had this thing planned out like nobody's business. This is what Christ centered relationship looks like. He knew he wanted to film a video looking back on their relationship to show her before he proposed. And when he picked up Lindsay and drove her to this spot, she had no idea what was about to happen. Adorableness ensued.
Proverbs 3:5-6 is pretty much my life verse, or life passage if you will. The part that clicks for me is "lean not on your own understanding". I have a big pride issue, and I *do* often lean on my own understanding, rather than trusting in the Lord. No matter how many times I fall flat on my face by relying on that strategy, I continue to do it. It's a struggle. I acknowledge my shortcoming in that area of my life, but still I do not always acknowledge Him, as the passage calls me to do, as my ultimate Guider. The promise is awesome, that He will make my path straight if I will only trust Him. The best part is, no matter how many times I mess up and lean on my own understanding, he keeps giving me another chance. Thank You, God, for your grace.
To me, a dobro makes any song better. If I'm not mistaken, that's Al Perkins playing the dobro on the interlude. Thanks, Al!
The song also mentions Matthew 6:34 and John 16:33. The song was written by Matt Slocum and several authors of the Bible.
