Loving Father Shaves Head To Support Daughter With Cancer

One man’s trip to the barber ended in a moving and touching show of support for his daughter battling cancer.

Parents want nothing more for their children to be happy and healthy. Whenever their child is suffering or in pain, those parents are also hurting, wishing there was some way to alleviate that discomfort even a little bit.

In a video posted on YouTube, one father found a loving way to do that for his daughter. It involved a barber taking scissors to his hair.

DAndray Thomas’ daughter, Brielle, is suffering from stage 4 cancer. Due to the treatments intended to fight the cancer, the chemo and radiation, Brielle has lost her hair. So, to show he is with the young woman every step of the way in her fight, DAndray got his ears lowered.

As the video mentions, DAndray had dreadlocks that he’d been growing for nine years. But that no longer mattered to him. What is important to this loving father is supporting his daughter in any way possible.

The video shows DAndray sitting in the barber’s chair as scissors and clippers are taken to his hair. He even holds up a long, thick strand of hair to show how much he’s having removed from his head.

The video concludes with Brielle standing with her back to a chain-link fence. DAndray approaches, wearing a wig and hat, but as he removes the hat and fake hair, someone loudly gasps.

Brielle then turns around to get a look at her father’s new hairdo. They lovingly embrace as DAndray gives his daughter a kiss on the forehead.

Before the video ends, a quote from DAndray pops up on the screen.

“I will be with her throughout every event and experience in her life,” it reads.

What a simple but sweet way for a father to show how much he cares for and loves his young daughter.

Psalm 127:3 “Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward.”

9 Times People’s Dying Wishes Are Fulfilled

Several people approaching their final days on Earth had those around them go to great lengths to make their last and final wish come true.

Unfortunately, death is something that all will face and experience at one time or another. The circumstances surrounding the death do not make losing a loved one any less difficult. However, when death is expected, it’s a chance to cherish those moments, making the remaining time with that person much more valuable and precious.

A video posted on YouTube shows how far some people went to make the final wish of their dying loved ones a reality. One person was even able to push a billion-dollar company to let a dying man view a highly anticipated film before its scheduled release date.

Star Wars films are beloved pieces of cinema, having created legions of dedicated fans. In 2015, Disney was set to release another film in the franchise in December. However, Daniel Fleetwood, diagnosed with terminal cancer, was not expected to live that long.

So, Daniel’s wife, with help from social media and actor Mark Hamill, got Disney’s attention. Daniel did get the opportunity to watch the film before his death, according to the clip.

Other instances mentioned in the clip involve people moving up graduations and even weddings for the dying parents to see their children take those monumental steps.

Back in 2017, a 58-year-old woman was in her final days in a hospital. However, she just wanted to see her pet horse one last time. Knowing the woman could not get her to the horse, the animal was brought to her.

Another last wish, this one from an 87-year-old woman with Parkinson’s Disease, also involved a horse. The woman, who was a former equestrian, wanted one last ride. She had that wish granted.

The clip, filled with loving and caring people working to help soothe their loved ones as they prepare to pass away, is a tear-jerker of a video. It’ll be hard to watch all 5-and-a-half minutes without getting emotional.

Revelation 21:4 “And he will put an end to all their weeping; and there will be no more death, or sorrow, or crying, or pain; for the first things have come to an end.”

Chorus Students Spanning 30 Years Return To Give Retiring Teacher Musical Send Off

Hundreds of former students returned to their alma mater to say “thank you” to a beloved retiring high school educator, singing with the teacher one last time.

Teaching is a noble and important occupation. Whether it be at the elementary, middle, high school or college level, those educators are shaping and molding the minds of the next generation. Throughout a teaching career, educators can and do affect the lives of thousands of young people.

Jim Stanley, a high school chorus teacher in Georgia, is retiring after 30 years in the profession. However, before he put away his chorus book and sheet music for good, Jim came up with an idea. He invited former students to come and sing with his current students. It would be a musical send-off for the teacher, according to a video posted on YouTube

Instead of just a few alums returning to sing with Jim one last, the invitation reached hundreds of former students. Jim never envisioned turnout would grow to be so big.

“I put it out there, went ahead and scheduled it,” Jim said. “Thinking I maybe might be able to get 20, 25 kids come back and I was going to have them sing with my current kids on our final concert of the year. Then a couple of alumni actually established a Facebook group, which grew and grew and grew from week to week.”

The students who returned weren’t just those who still live around the Georgia high school either.

“They came from as far away as Canada, Texas, Chicago,” Cindy Harter Sims said. “People stopped everything in their life so that they would have a chance to say, ‘thank you’ to Jim Stanley.”

What a terrific show of kindness and love that students spanning decades returned to say goodbye to a dedicated educator.

Young Boy Cries After Learning His Family Finally Has A Home

Watch this emotional video of a young boy crying after learning that his family finally has a home again after being without one for a while.

Darrell and Mallory are husband and wife and have two sons together. Recently, Darrell had to undergo emergency open-heart surgery, and he was unable to work for six months. His wife Mallory had to work two jobs to avoid eviction.

“I was working two jobs while I was helping him in recovery,” Mallory said.

“We just kept falling farther and farther behind. Finally, it got to the point where we couldn’t stay where we were at anymore,” shared Darrell.

“We realized that we are going to have to break our lease to avoid eviction,” said Mallory.

The family was able to stay with a friend while they were trying to find a new place to live, and they also had to move into a hotel for two weeks during that time.

“It was extremely stressful,” Mallory shared. “And it was stressful on our kids, but they were so amazing. I mean, they just were so resilient.”

When the family finally had their application approved for a home, they were so relieved. And Mallory decided to take a video of her kids when she and her husband revealed that their family had a new place to call home.

“That day, we picked the kids up from school,” she said. “They came out of the car, and I said, ‘I’m going to hit record.’ And I turned around and said, ‘Hey. By the way, this is our house.’”

That’s when her son, Evin, completely lost it and cried tears of joy! Mallory went on to share the heartwarming video on her TikTok, and it went viral and so many people wanted to help the family out by sending appliances and furniture for their new home.

“The first day, when we got the keys to the house, that was the day we were going to open everything. It was like the best Christmas morning, to watch our kids open all those gifts and to feel so loved by people and supported. It was an amazing week. We were just so grateful. We just can’t believe that we’re here and that this is our life, and that we survived the hardest year of our lives. And we’re here, and we’re comfortable and stable,” Mallory said.

What a blessing and a testimony of God’s faithfulness towards this family!

The ThirdHeaven | Michael Herbert

The Apostle Paul and John in the book of Revelation had a glimpse of "The Third Heaven" They were unable to describe its majesty. For the believer in Christ this day will become a reality.
I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. 2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. 3 And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.2 Corinthians 12:1-4.
I was inspired by Jon Jenkins with his song Cross over

After 1,954 Days In Foster Car, 5-Year-Old Is Finally Adopted

A child who had spent years in foster care now has a loving forever home to call her own.

Children are a blessing from the good Lord above. They do come with increased levels of stress, worry and anxiety. But children also add plenty of joy and love to parents' lives. While some who seek to become parents may have issues conceiving, there are other avenues to becoming a mom or dad.

There are plenty of children in need of good, safe and loving homes in the world. Many children are simply waiting to be adopted, to have a mom and a dad.

Cindy and Jeffrey Moore are two people who badly wanted to become parents but encountered infertility issues. But that didn’t stop them from adding Cece to their family, even though it may have taken years to make it permanent.

In the video posted on YouTube, Cindy mentions that Cece came into their lives when she was just two months old through the foster care system.

“Once we saw her cute little face, we jokingly told them, ‘If you need a place long-term, let us know,’ Cindy said. “And the next day, they said, ‘Yeah, you know, actually, if you’re serious about it, we could really use a long-term placement for her.’”

Years later, after 1,954 days, the Moores finally became Cece’s mother and father.

“You know, here we are, over five years later and that long-term placement has now become a forever home for her.”

Cece isn’t the only child the Moores have adopted, according to the video. They have adopted two other children and Cindy stated that she and Jeffrey are now in the process of adopting Cece’s biological brother.

What a beautiful and loving family! God bless Cindy and Jeffrey for showing love and kindness to children in need of homes.

Best of luck to the Moore family!

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

College Softball Players Give All The Glory To God In Viral TV Moment

The clip of three University of Oklahoma softball players mentioning their faith and personal relationship with Jesus Christ when asked how they play the game has gotten a ton of attention.

Sports, particularly college athletics, are often high-pressured and filled with moments or plays that can make or break an entire season. The competition at the NCAA level is fierce, with everyone seeking to gain an advantage, within the boundaries of the rules, of course.

However, three members of the University of Oklahoma softball team explained how and why they don’t let the pressure of big moments get to them. In a clip posted on YouTube, the young women stated that they understand that softball is not the end all, be all.

The 4-and-a-half-minute clip begins with an ESPN reporter asking one of the players, Grace Lyons, how she keeps the joy throughout an entire softball season. The young woman, in her answer, cited the one, true and only source of joy: Jesus Christ.

“Well, the only way that you can have a joy that doesn’t fade away is from the Lord,” Grace said. “And any other type of joy is actually happiness that comes from circumstances and outcomes.”

Another player, Jayda Coleman, chimed in and agreed with her teammate’s response.

“One thousand percent agree with Grace Lyons,” Jayda said.

Jayda added that their team is able to stay and play relaxed on the field because winning or losing a game does not define them.

“Yes, obviously, we worked our butts off to be here and we want to win,” Jayda said. “But it’s not the end of the world because our life is in Christ and that’s all that matters.”

Alyssa Brito added that she understands trophies are nice, but Earth is not her home. She said she knows Heaven, with her Father, is her home.

“No matter the outcome, whether we get a trophy in the end or not, this isn’t our home,” she said. “And I think that’s what amazing about it is, we have so much more. We have an eternity of joy with our Father, and I’m so excited about that.”

Two days after these young ladies spoke so moving and openly about their faith and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, they would go on to win the Women’s College World Series.

Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope make you full of joy and peace through faith, so that all hope may be yours in the power of the Holy Spirit.”

For King Country Reflect On Their Grand Ole Opry Debut

One of the biggest acts in Christian music today thinks about their first time headlining at the Grand Ole Opry and their journey - professionally and personally – to that point.

For most musicians, playing at the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, is a monumental step in their career. Some of the biggest names in music ever had headlined shows at the venue in the Volunteer State. Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn have all thrilled audiences at the Opry.

The historic venue continues to attract some of the biggest names in music, including For King & Country. In a video posted on YouTube, the pair of Grammy-winning brothers – Joel and Luke Smallbone – talk about what it meant to headline at the Grand Ole Opry and also their lives growing up.

The short clip begins with the two musicians pulling into the Grand Ole Opry’s parking lot and peering at the sign on the building, which read, “RESERVED: FOR KING & COUNTRY, GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT, AUGUST 12, 2022.”

Joel admitted that headlining at the venue is a big moment for the brother in terms of their career and their lives.

“It’s a complex moment for us now, Opry debut,” Joel said. “Because we have already some really monumental memories here, which is just magical by the way.”

The clip cuts to a portion of their show, where Joel addresses the audience, mentioning their first time headlining the auditorium. He likens it to taking a big step in a relationship.

“We have played this stage for award shows and Christmas shows,” Joel said. “At this point, it’s like, it’s like we’ve been dating and tonight, we got married.”

Next, the guys and their parents discuss their tough, lowly beginnings both in their native Australia and moving to The United States, settling in Nashville, Tennessee.

David Smallbone, the guys’ father and manager, articulates how far they have all come since those early days.

“Here we are 30 years later, we’re still here,” David said. “And we came over here basically penniless. Probably the most difficult financial time of our life. And that was the start of the children learning to work together. Cleaning houses, mowing lawns, raking leaves.”

It's amazing to see how far this immensely talented brother duo and their family have come since their humble beginnings. What a terrific story of perseverance, grit and determination!

James 1:12 “There is a blessing on the man who undergoes testing; because, if he has God’s approval, he will be given the crown of life, which the Lord has said he will give to those who have love for him.”
