Heard this song on the radio the other day; I happened to be listening to a children's radio program called "Paws & Tales". That's what happens when you're a radio button pusher. I thought it was a beautiful song and contacted the station to find out who it was. It's a woman named Sandy Howell, from Southern California. This song was at the end of a "Paws & Tales" episode called "The Perfect Christmas Gift". Sandy wrote the song. Lovely.
The Daily Pulse (Friday, December 7, 2012): Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned... Romans 5:12 (NIV)

The Daily Pulse (Thursday, December 6, 2012): The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. Psalm 28:7 (NIV)
Join us this Christmas for an inspiring walk through Luke 2 as we remember the birth of Jesus. "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord!"
I gave my 3 yr old grandson a children's bible to keep him occupied and I went back to work on my computer. As he started to read my spirit rose up and I started to have an overwhelming feeling. I listened as he read and immediately I felt so humbled at how precious our children are and that God can speak through the mouths of babes. Jesus said "Suffer the little children to come to me. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" Amen
What's it like to dip into the cool waters of a lake at 7am and swim for 1.2 miles; then grab your bicycle, and peddle your way through a 56 miles (up and down hills) course; park your bike and run 13.1 miles? Watch video and see. Great ending to this video!
My wife and I just got to see Michael W. Smith the other evening on his "A Very Special Christmas" concert tour. What a delight! He had a full orchestra with him as he played grand piano. Later on a large choir joined them. It was so majestic. This is one of the songs he did.
This short film captures the moments of the dysfunctional family coming together for an awkward Christmas meal and the experience of a great tragedy that would follow. Last Christmas explores the questions of mortality and what we will see beyond the years we spend here on earth. https://show2.me/en/v/last-christmas
The Daily Pulse (Tuesday, December 4, 2012): “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’" Matthew 25:21,23 (NIV)
What a wonderful Christmas song from Francesca. This is from her 2012 album "Christmas". She co-wrote the song. Nice. My only complaint is the "little bit of heaven everywhere" line; maybe I'm nitpicking, but when I look around I see a *lot* of heaven everywhere. But I get what she's trying to say. There are many little details that sometimes we miss because we are looking at the big picture.
Latest single from Plumb. It's an autobiographical song stemming from her high school days when she was suffering from anxiety attacks. What a simple yet powerful message. Yes, we need Him. Yes, we do. We are lost without Him. He is our hope and stay. Thank You, Lord. We love You. Thank you, Plumb, you are an anointed musician and lyricist.
A beautiful song by Vicki Yoh'e. I think it's from around 1995. I couldn't find the details about who wrote it. I heard this for the first time on my local radio station the other day. Don't know how I missed it for 17 years.
Anita Skorgan, from Norway, has been around since the late 70s. This is a song she released on her "Adventus" album in late 2011. It's a beautiful motherhood song, although supposedly the mother in this song is supposedly Jesus' mother, Mary. I broadened the scope to include all mothers. A YouTube buddy asked me to create a video for the song. It's a lovely song. Sorry, I couldn't find any details about who wrote the song, and I couldn't find the lyrics, so I had to guess at them by ear. Hope I got them right. (Update: I've been told that the song was co-written by Anita and Kari Iveland.)
Praise and thanksgiving to God do more than make us feel good.
