11/12 To the Glory of God (Psalm 34:1-2) "Boast In the Lord" Many people make their boasts in many things, their possessions, their money, their education. But Pastor Jeff and Sis. E share that if we must boast, our boast should be in the Lord. Boasting in Him, brings glory to God and joy to not only your soul, but to others as well. Believers who BELIEVE on the LORD Jesus Christ to save them, genuinely REPENT of their sins, and surrender their lives to GOD in FAITH in GOD's Commandment in Mark 1:15; John 3:16; Acts 16:31; and Acts 20:21 which requires all born again believers to genuinely confess their sin of repentance toward GOD and faith toward our LORD and Savior Jesus, are baptized into Union with our LORD Jesus Christ in the Name of the Father, and of the SON and of the Holy Spirit. Amen!
The worldview presented to us by the media and public school system is in stark contrast to the straight-forward reading of Scripture. How are we as Christians to respond? Unfortunately, all too often, we have compromised our own message out of fear and intimidation from the world of secular science. Once we begin tampering with the authority of Scripture, it is a slippery slope that leads to all kinds of problems, especially in the morality of our own children. Creation/Evolution & the Authority of Scripture gives an overview of the controversy and explains why it is so important to view the Bible as the final authority in all matters. This topic is foundational to all other discussions regarding Christianity and will greatly aid in strengthening your faith in the Word of God!
We tend to teach many of the Biblical events to our children (particularly the Old Testament) as just a bunch of disconnected stories that have no real relevance to their own lives. They seem to survive just fine when they are very young, but as they grow and are increasingly challenged by the world regarding the validity of their faith, they all too often fall away, having only shallow beliefs (based on cute stories) and lacking true conviction and a solid understanding of Gods Word as actual history. This is a very fun topic because it has been a huge help to people when trying to get a handle on the Old Testament. It allows people to see the Old Testament as one continuous story and helps them know where the dinosaurs fit in, when the flood was, how and when the ice age occurred, when Abraham came on the scene, addresses the issue of all the violence in the Old Testament, as well as all of the other major characters from Abraham up to Christ. It gives the audience one timeline with all the major events.
This is one of the most popular talks, because it addresses 10 of the most commonly asked questions about creation, evolution and the Bible: - If God created the universe who created God? - Is there life in outer space? - What about all the ape-men? - Where did all the water go after the flood? - Was there really an Ice Age? - Where did all the races come from? - Antibiotic resistance proof of evolution? - What exactly is Carbon-14 dating? - Where do dinosaurs fit in the Bible? - Who was Cains wife?
This is my overview of how I lead my wife in our marriage in the Savior. I go over important points such as providing for her needs, leading morally and spiritually, along with setting the rules. Some of this material may be surprising to believers used to getting modernist instead of biblical teachings, but I'm afraid if you've been fed modernism at your church, then you have been lied to.
