Southside Baptist Church Sunday, March 20, 2016 Pastor Bishop Helsley John 11:1-44
Summary: As we continue our journey towards Easter, we once again take a look at Jesus' ministry. As Jesus makes his way towards Jerusalem, he stops to join Mary and Martha in mourning for the loss of Lazarus. As we look at Jesus bringing Lazarus back from the dead, we learn about how the hope Jesus gives us is not just a future hope, but a current, actionable reality for our lives.
On this Palm Sunday, Pastor Jeff shares how we must take some time to fully understand who God is... our King, the One who fights for us. Watch our sermons live at u-stream, every Sunday morning, 11:30-12 Noon. For more information on the ministry visit www.ongoodground.org
God has provided a simple, straight forward way for us to deal with our sins, failures, weaknesses, and struggles. He has done this so we can always stay focused on what lies ahead and not what is behind us. A powerful and inspirational word from the Lord! We must learn to stay focused on "moving right along!"
This message was preached by Dr. Earl Johnson, Jr. at Grace Bible Baptist Church. We are located at 1518 N. Rolling Road, Catonsville, Maryland 21228 (410-788-6132). Southside Baptist Church Sunday, March 13, 2016 Pastor Bishop Helsley John 9:13-41
Summary: As we continue with our Easter series, we continue to look at the story of the healed blind-man. As we look at the reaction of the Pharisees, we consider the epic dangers of spiritual blindness, and how the new life Jesus comes to offer means sight for some and exposing the blindness of others.
God points out blessings received in the past, but also tells us the need to acknowledge the blessings we are receiving now, and to rejoice that His blessings will continue to come.
Many times, as Christians, we lose sight of what is good- tending to postpone our joy with events in life. This is what happens when we wander away from God- we focus more on the external world that on the spiritual one. Remembering these words, "He is my salvation; and in Him I will trust and not be afraid; He is my strength and my song" should remind us that Christ is ever-present in our daily lives and we should rely on that message!
