1 Corinthians 7:1-20

Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. 6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

Why Pray

If God already knows everything that will happen, what is the point of PRAYER? If everything that happens is God's will, why did Jesus say to "pray that the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven"? How is Christianity like "big time wrestling? This teaching might change your prayer life.

JUST TRUTH IT is dedicated to helping you understand the Word of God by providing accurate, sensible, inspiring, and entertaining biblical teaching so as to make known the Lord Jesus Christ, the Living Truth, and thus facilitate a worldwide community of mature Christians committed to following him by living the truth of God's Word and sharing it with others.

If you've got questions, God's got the answers! Have a listen, you'll be blessed you did!

Exodus 18:1-27 When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt; 2 Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back, 3 And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land: 4 And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh: 5 And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God: 6 And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.

I Am a Church Member: Form & Function

Southside Baptist Church

Pastor Bishop Helsley
Romans 12:1-16

Summary: What does it mean to be clothed in the glory of God? The glory of God is that we have been set free from slavery to sin so that we can serve God as our Lord and Savior. But submitting to God's lordship means allowing God's Word to have a central place in our lives. As we take this journey of discovery to find what scripture says about being the body of Christ, we begin by exploring the meaning of surrendering to God's presence in our lives.

1-3-16 SERMON׃ “Where Could I Go؟“

You cannot understand the truth of Christ and the message of God's Word without divine revelation! This is how God designed His Word to work. To those with sincere hearts and earnest spirits, the Spirit of the Lord will reveal the truths of His Word. But to those who think they can understand God and His Word without the assistance of His Spirit, the end result is perpetual blindness and lack of true understanding! You cannot undervalue the need for REVELATION! A powerful message!

Acted Parables

In this message Pastor Rich looks at Acted Parables – deliberate symbolic public actions that radically call attention to spiritual truth. We’ll look at the Acted Parables of Jesus, the great prophets and wonder… What place do Acted Parables have today? What place might they have?

"Sitting at Jesus' Feet"

Pastor Dunbar reminds us of Jesus' words from Luke 2: - come and find me, you know where I'll be. We have a patient and gentle Savior- he urges us to seek out the encouraging truth found in His word, in the meal where he offers himself to us, and every Sunday as the true Passover Lamb, spotless and holy, given and shed for us.

1 Corinthians 10:27 - 11:2

27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. 28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof: 29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience? 30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? 31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 6:12-20

12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. 14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication.
