GOSPEL of JOHN-093-Ch.05 (Rise Take Up Thy Bed And Walk) Pt3

Bible Study series of the Gospel of JOHN.
Gospel of JOHN (In the Beginning was the WORD)

Peace on Earth

Peace is a period of harmony between different social groups that is characterized by lack of violence or conflict behaviors, and the freedom from fear of violence.

The ideal of peace can also be conceptualized as the comprehensive implementation of human rights (civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights); this should, among other purposes, ensure the satisfaction of basic human needs, such as positive personal and social identity, sense of control, security, (social) justice, wellbeing, a safe environment, and access to adequate food and shelter.

Boko Haram promotes a version of Islam which makes it "haram", or forbidden, for Muslims to take part in any political or social activity associated with Western society. a loose translation means "Western education is forbidden".

This includes voting in elections, wearing shirts and trousers or receiving a secular education.

Boko Haram regards the Nigerian state as being run by nonbelievers, even when the country had a Muslim president and it has extended its military campaign by targeting neighbouring states.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Isa 26:12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us:

The Fullness of Time

1 Corinthians 5:7-13

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

1 Corinthians 10:12-15

12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. 15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

Acts 21:1-20

And it came to pass, that after we were gotten from them, and had launched, we came with a straight course unto Coos, and the day following unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara: 2 And finding a ship sailing over unto Phenicia, we went aboard, and set forth. 3 Now when we had discovered Cyprus, we left it on the left hand, and sailed into Syria, and landed at Tyre: for there the ship was to unlade her burden. 4 And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.

What's In A Seed

Why does the first verse in the Bible about Jesus Christ (Gen. 3:15) figuratively refer to him as a "seed"? Think about the miracle of a little apple seed that, if planted in the ground, produces thousands of apples in its lifetime. Tracing the word "seed" through Scripture reveals why each Christian has been "born again of incorruptible seed" and why that spiritual seed within will at the appearing of Christ produce a glorious new body.

"Saving Time"

Pastor Dunbar takes today's lesson from Luke 3: today, life is all about taking shortcuts. But some things need to take time, especially repentance, as John the Baptist reminds us in today's reading.

What Were You Thinking

A big key to successful living is to think about what you are thinking about. God designed the human mind to hold the truth of His Word, and act accordingly. If you hide His Word in your heart, it will act as an alarm and warn you of "stinkin' thinkin.'"

What Kind of God Do You Have

A recently published book, America's Four Gods: What We Say About God--And What That Says About Us, shows that 95% of Americans (the other 5% are agnostic) hold to one of four basic views of God: Authoritative, Critical, Distant, or Benevolent. WHO CARES? God is who He says He is, regardless of what people say about Him. This teaching addresses these distinctions, as well as the almost universally held, but erroneous, belief that "all good people go to heaven."

JUST TRUTH IT is dedicated to helping you understand the Word of God by providing accurate, sensible, inspiring, and entertaining biblical teaching so as to make known the Lord Jesus Christ, the Living Truth, and thus facilitate a worldwide community of mature Christians committed to following him by living the truth of God's Word and sharing it with others.

If you've got questions, God's got the answers! Have a listen, you'll be blessed you did!

If the teachings you find here bless you and help you in your Christian walk, please consider sowing into The Living Truth Fellowship financially in response to a blessing. You can do so at:
