Disappointment, frustration, heartbreak--failure to live up to the expectations that drive our lives and those around us. The shameful and public death of Jesus on the cross shook the faith of those who believed in him and had put all their hope, the wrong hopes, in him. The prophet, Zachariah, 600 years earlier, had foretold of a king who would come in peace--not with a large army to save God's people, but with a ragtag group of disciples. By his death, Jesus opened up a whole new kingdom to us and brought us back together with God.

A sermon closing prayer, praying that everyone will show the love that Jesus showed, and demanded all to follow when He said "Remember Me" and "Do this in remembrance of me"

When we have struggled for so long in life we can become desperate for a breakthrough, desperate for deliverance and victory. So desperate that we can become blind to the fact that God has already sent us help but maybe not in the way we wanted or expected it to be.

Following Christ Jesus
NCAA tournament broadcasters stated that tournament being held on Monday and not Sunday because Sunday is the "Lord's Day"

Even in sports the Gospel goes forward and people talk about the Lord

In 1910 approximately 1/3 of population affirms that they are Christians

We celebrate Christ Jesus because of his popularity
• People attended the Baptism of John and John referenced Christ Jesus
• Jesus entered the synagogue and preached and taught and healed all manner of people

Why did the people follow Jesus Christ
• Not because He only preached the Gospel of "Love" "Wealth" or "Prosperity"
• Not because He was afraid to confront people and call out their sin
• Not because He tried to make people feel good

President of US dismissed the "obscure" scripture that Paul wrote; but that he followed the Beatitudes in Matthew Chp 5 -7
• Christ did not make life easier for the believer
• Love your enemies he commanded;
• Do good to them that despitefully use you
• A lustful look is equal to committing the sin
• Not easy following the commandments of Christ Jesus
• Divorce and remarry means you committed adultery
• Christ's commands were tougher than the law because the law is external and what you get caught doing vs what is on the inside, in your thoughts and heart
• Call a person a fool your are in danger of hell's fire - watch what you say
• Jesus did not give just a "feel good" message
• Better to pluck out an eye and enter heaven halt and maim

Back in Ezekiel's day, God's people were up against some very bad odds. They were victims of their own hardness of heart...and the LORD had warned them that something bad would happen if they wouldn't listen to him. But, just as God told Ezekiel in his dream that His Word could breathe new life into dried up bones, we know today that God's word can breathe new life into things that might be dead to us: a relationship, our faith. By the power of the Holy Spirit, these "dead, dried-up" bones can live again.

I saw myself get baptized and anointed with the Holy Ghost and these words were spoken to me "you moved a lot of people". That same day I also received the scar print of the nail that pierced Jesus Christs right hand on my right hand, it appeared for a while and then disappeared. I carry the testimony of Jesus Christ, HE is the son of GOD, sent by the father to be an atoning sacrifice for our sins. GOD rose him from the dead on the third day to justify us by faith and so with the heart man believes unto righteousness (GOD will not know a wicked person and what GOD has done is justified the wicked through the death and resurrection of HIS SON. We are wicked people in GODS eyes without HIS free gift of righteousness through the Gospel of reconciliation.) You must be born again...When man sinned in the beginning of creation it killed his spirit which made him spiritually dead and so all of his offspring (who we are) are/were spiritually dead. So without us doing anything right or wrong, good or evil we were spiritually dead. This explains why we must be born again of water and the spirit. He who has not the spirit of Christ is non of HIS. Pray and ask the Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit. You will NOT enter heaven without him. May GOD Bless each and every one of you, LORD willing, in Jesus Christs name, Amen.
