Romans 10:1-5

Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Now and then we will hear some Pastor or Preacher call upon members of the assembly to follow Christ in baptism. Once you have a clear understanding of The LORD's Baptism, you will realize that you or I could never follow our LORD in this Baptism. BUT...Pay Attention, there is something radically wrong with all of the different water ceremonies practiced by Christians. It is high time that some of the Bible teachers in the groups of Fundamentalists, who are not afraid of men, should rescue their fellow Fundamentalists from their inconsistencies, and learn why Christians are wholly disregarding Ephesians 4:3-6. AND WHAT ABOUT FOLLOWING CHRIST IN BAPTISM?

By the Word of God ONLY, members of the Body of Christ need to determine whether or not their denominational creed, Pastor, Preacher, or whoever and whatever, are truly of God. Again, the Word of God is the ONLY method by which to test. Here are the questions to ask...

When God revealed His great mystery, about two thousand years ago, He made it known, that members of the Body of Christ...be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men. Ephesians 4:14. God never intended this great truth to be the mysterious mystery, but the enlightening unifying Mystery.

God sent Paul to the Gentiles (Ephesians 3:1-9) and did NOT send him to baptize (1 Corinthians 1:17). Instead, according to Ephesians 4:5, there is ONE baptism for today, 1 Corinthians 12:13, "For by ONE Spirit we were all baptized into ONE Body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and have all been made to drink into ONE Spirit." The Holy Spirit performs this Baptism, NOT an apostle, deacon, or pastor. And notice that it is not a baptism with water.

I gave this letter to my pastor as an introduction to the book on covenant marriage: Except for Fornication, by Daniel Jennings. The book makes the case for marriage permanence, and goes into some detail to explain the meaning of “except for fornication”, which appears in Matthew 5 and 19.

I believe we all should be appealing to our congregations to respect marriage, which is a lifelong, one flesh covenant. It is one of our greatest witnesses to Christ. Will you bring the truth of marriage permanence to your church? Pray for the churches with us, and for repentance and reform. God can change the hearts of men.
