About Pastor Maurice Davis

Maurice Davis is the Minister and Education Director for the Bedford St. Church of Christ in Abington, Massachusetts, a suburb south of Boston.  He has over 25 years of experience serving in the Lord’s church in various teaching and leadership roles. He is a graduate of Tougaloo College, Tougaloo, MS and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, OK.  He has done additional studies with the Greater Houston School of Biblical Studies, South Houston Bible Institute, International School of Christian Counselors, and Abilene Christian University. Professionally, he has authored and co-written articles that have appeared in professional journals and community newspapers.

Maurice has served as Education Director, Jail/Prison Ministry Coordinator, Single’s Ministry Director, Youth Ministry Assistant and Administrative Minister under the various teaching ministries of Samuel Jackson, Arnelious Crenshaw (Oklahoma City, OK), Edgar Scott and Richard Barclay (Houston, TX).  Maurice is passionate about ‘Salvation through Education’ and is dedicated to helping God’s people to be equipped for every good work.

Maurice serves as the Director of the New England Lectureship and is on the teaching faculty of the Gander Brook Center for Christian Leadership.

He is married to Lynne Davis, who is an educator and college dean.  They are the parents of a son, Sebastian Robert.
