If you’re looking for warm things to distract you from the four-degree reality outside your front door, thanks for spending part of your week with us here at That Passport Life. When winter digs in like this, we have two choices: endure it—or outsmart it. I’m firmly in the second camp.

Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy

This week, we continue our journey through the competition grounds of the 2026 Olympic Games, which are suddenly feeling much closer than they once did. Last week, we began in Milan, the host city of record—disciplined, elegant, and quietly commanding. This week, we climb higher, slower, and deeper into the Italian Alps with Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Cortina is everything winter dreams of being: alpine spas that steam against snow-covered peaks, world-class food that warms you from the inside out, and a pace that reminds you rest is not a weakness—it’s wisdom. This is where the Games will unfold against some of the most dramatic scenery on earth, but long after the medals are awarded, Cortina remains exactly what it has always been: refined, restorative, and unforgettable.

Speaking of Italy—let me gently (but urgently) remind you about something.

Have you reserved your spot to come with us to Rome, Sorrento, Capri, Positano, and Amalfi?

There are only 32 seats. And I say this with love: if Italy has ever lived on your “someday” list—the impossibly clear blue waters, the greatest collection of art the world has ever known, the kind of food that resets your understanding of what a meal can be—you are going to be profoundly disappointed if you wait too long and the trip fills up.

You don’t have to pay for everything at once. You just have to hold your seat.

Visit Italy2026.info and do it before space runs out. I’d hate for “I almost went” to become your story.

This week also brought a personal highlight I’m deeply grateful for. Thank you to Mrs. Melania Trump for the invitation to join her and the President for a screening of her brand-new documentary film, MELANIA. It is one of the most lavishly beautiful films I’ve ever seen—and unexpectedly funny at moments you don’t see coming. The film opens this weekend in select cities across the country, and it’s absolutely worth your time.

On a much more serious note, this weekend marks the final push to supply ultrasounds to 280 PreBorn clinics across the nation. When a woman sees an ultrasound, something changes. She realizes—often for the first time—that what she’s been told is a “clump of cells” is, in fact, a distinctly human baby. And once she sees her child, it becomes incredibly difficult for her to agree to end that life.

If you can help, please do.

On a brighter note for music lovers, TEA Collective had an outstanding week. We finalized a new partnership with GodTube early in the week and released the second single from our upcoming album The Drawing Board. The new song—perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day—is titled “You Said It First.” Please give it a listen on Spotify, and if you enjoy it, save it to your account or playlist so it can be part of your soundtrack for years to come.

And on television this weekend, we’ve got a packed lineup: Ambassador Carla Sands, Zack Smith Esq., CEO Dan Steiner, education reformer Erika Donalds, and Jill Homan of AFPI. Add sketch comedy from The Babylon Bee, Diaper Diplomacy, and The Holderness Family, plus musical guests MercyMe, and you’ve got a weekend worth tuning in for.

Watch us Saturday at 8am on Salem News Channel, and 9pm and 11pm Saturday night on BizTV.

Finally, if staying home sounds like the right call, the editors over at CestSiBon.org have dedicated the entire weekend to comforting, soul-warming soups—recipes designed to make your house smell amazing and your people happy.

So warm up with us this weekend.

Stay cozy. Eat well. Travel in your imagination if you must.

And above all—stay safe.

Continuing the journey,

—That KEVIN
