Actress Chokes Discussing Friendship With Reba McEntire

This actress chokes while discussing her friendship with Reba McEntire, and it is such a wholesome moment. Melissa Peterman starred with Reba in her show, titled "Reba," and she got the news that a new sitcom, “Happy’s Place,” with her, was picked up by a network during a live interview.

After she got over her shock and excitement, Melissa answered the question, “What does your friendship with Reba mean to you?”

She immediately began to tear up as she said, “She's like coming home, you know. I think that in this business, that's a lot. We have a lot of Hollywood friends, and you have friends that you share just the good stuff with, and I think I knew that when we started sharing like the

real-life stuff that was forever. I know she's got my back; whether we never work together again, she will be on my side always, and she knows I'm hers.”

Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman's Friendship Goes Far Beyond Hollywood

She was delighted to work together with her best friend again. The two have been close since 2001, when they met for Reba’s sitcom. Reba was the first person to sing to Melissa’s son when he was a newborn, and they’ve raised their children together.

They love getting into mischief and go on vacation together. Melissa’s also gone on tour with Reba several times.

Reba said, “When I was out on tour, she’d come with me, open the show, do a bit in the middle of the concert. The crowd cheering for her was four times louder than for me at any time because they love [Peterman] to pieces.”

They have a lot of fun working together on Happy’s Place, where Melissa stars as a bartender at Reba’s restaurant that she inherited.

It’s great that these two have such a special friendship. They truly love each other and enjoy having fun together.

Mom's Impressive Speed While Cheering On Son

This kid has got to have the most loving, supportive, and proud mother in the world. You have got to see this Connecticut mom's impressive speed while cheering on her son. Play the video to watch her run along the sidelines!

Her high school-age son is running track and finishing his last lap. His mom is right there along the sidelines, somehow keeping pace with him and shouting encouragement all the while.

“Go! Go!” she shouts over and over. When he makes it over the finish line, she pumps her fist in the air and jumps for joy.

It is so lovely to see how excited this mom is for her son. She is so supportive, and her boy is lucky to have her. Of course, any child who competes should have a supportive parent on their side, and some parents have a quieter nature and way of supporting them. But one mom of a wrestler could not contain her excitement when her kid went onto the mat.

Proud Sports Moms Show Their Love in the Most Hilarious Ways

Every time something happened, she gripped her husband’s arm or pushed against him as she shouted in order to keep herself from going onto the mat herself. Once, while shouting, she even nearly pushed him into another person watching the match when a major moment of excitement happened. Another time, her husband had to pull her back as she started toward the ring.

It’s pretty funny to see. She must be a lot to handle, but it’s all out of love for her child.

Actress Kim Raver once explained that when her son won a college volleyball match against the No. 1 team in the country, she ran onto the court.

“I was like jumping up and down!” she said. And what made it funnier is that it was an away game, and there were only 5 other people there to support her son’s team.

Whatever the occasion, it’s great to see these moms' love and enthusiasm for their children.

Russell Brand On His Faith Journey And Profound Impact Of His Baptism

It’s amazing to realize how a superstar known for taking drugs and other controversies is such a strong follower of Christ. The actor, Russell Brand, is on a somewhat new faith journey, and he’s experienced the profound impact of baptism. Play the video to see him share all about it.

He shared, “Yesterday, I got baptized, and it was an incredible, profound experience… Many aspects of it were very intimate and personal. The truth is this—as a person who has in the past taken many, many substances and always been disappointed with their inability to deliver the kind of tranquility and peace and even transcendence that I always felt I’ve been looking for, something occurred in the process of baptism that was incredible, overwhelming… I felt changed, transitioned.”

After his baptism, he felt like he had a new resource that is helping him along—the holy spirit. He admits that he is new to Christianity but is ready to learn all he can. And he has a truly genuine enthusiasm to do so.

He feels rest in his relationship with Jesus and is nourished, happy, and loved in a way that he’s never been before. He’s so grateful that he is saved through Christ, and it is so lovely to see his pure and wholesome joy.

Russell Brand Shares How Following Jesus Changed His Priorities

In another video, Russell explains that in order to follow Christ, he had to let go of all of his idols and die to self. His biggest idol was himself—he worshipped himself, and that had to stop. He had been letting his wants and his fears take priority over everything. But when he let go of those, he found freedom through Christ, and it is a beautiful thing.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" 2 Corinthians 5:17

How do you hold onto the memory of God’s faithfulness when life moves on and new challenges arise?

Jaime and Alana explore the biblical concept of raising an “Ebenezer”—a tangible monument or stone of help that declares, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

While it’s easy to experience an answered prayer or a miraculous breakthrough and quickly move on to putting out the next fire, Scripture repeatedly shows God’s people setting up physical memorials to remember what He has done. The co-hosts unpack the stories of Samuel’s stone of help and the twelve polished stones pulled from the Jordan River, looking at how tangible reminders not only anchor our own faith during hard seasons, but also serve as natural conversation starters to pass our testimonies down to our children.

Through personal stories and everyday examples—from prayer journals, Christmas ornaments, and cross-country bibs to writing Bible verses on bare concrete floors after an Alaskan earthquake—Jaime and Alana share practical ways to create spiritual mileposts in your own home. Alana addresses the tension between celebrating accomplishments and false humility, while Jaime reflects on using physical prompts to persevere in prayer, intentional family reflection, and even the question of whether tattoos can serve as modern-day Ebenezers.

Together, they encourage us to surround ourselves with reminders of God’s goodness so we never forget how far He has brought us. Whether you’re looking for creative ways to share your faith story with your kids, needing encouragement to trust God with a new obstacle, or wanting to build a habit of reflection and gratitude, we hope this episode inspires you to look back on God’s faithfulness with fresh eyes and confidence for the road ahead.

A Prayer to Trust God with What Comes Next

What do you do when every door seems to be closing?

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Rachel Wojo shares the story of a friend facing an unexpected job loss while caring for her injured mother.

Sometimes we know a difficult change is coming, but that doesn't make it any easier when it finally happens. We can pray, make plans, consider every option, and still find ourselves uncertain about the future.

Through Proverbs 3:5–6, Rachel reminds us that trusting God doesn't require knowing every step ahead. It means learning to rely on His wisdom instead of depending entirely on our own understanding.

If you're facing a closed door, a career setback, or a season of uncertainty, join us in praying for peace, strength, and the courage to trust God with what comes next.

Let Your Light Shine for God | A Reformation Day Prayer

What does it look like to let your faith shine in a world that feels dark?

Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:16 to let our light shine before others so that they may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven.

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Lynette Kittle reflects on the childhood song “This Little Light of Mine,” the courage of Martin Luther during the Protestant Reformation, and the call for every Christian to live as a light in the world.

As we remember Reformation Day on October 31, we're reminded of the importance of Scripture, salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and the courage to live out what we believe.

You don't need a platform or a spotlight to make a difference. Through everyday acts of love, kindness, faithfulness, and truth, your life can point others toward Jesus.

Join us in praying for boldness, humility, and a faith that glorifies God.

Today's Scripture:

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16 (NIV)

In today's devotional:

  • What it means to let your light shine for God
  • Why Christians commemorate Reformation Day
  • Martin Luther and the importance of faith in Christ
  • The meaning of Romans 1:17
  • Living as children of light according to Ephesians 5:8

A Prayer for Good Purpose in the Place God Has You

What if you're not where you thought you'd be by now?

What if you're not where you thought you'd be by now?

Maybe you're facing a health setback, a disappointing change of plans, or a season of life that looks nothing like you imagined.

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Keri Eichberger shares how recovering from scoliosis surgery changed her expectations for her son's wedding—and how Joseph's story in Genesis helped her remember that God can work through circumstances we never would have chosen.

In Genesis 50:19–20, Joseph responds to the brothers who harmed him with an extraordinary recognition of God's providence: what they intended for evil, God used to preserve many lives.

Joseph's story doesn't mean every hardship will make sense to us or end the way we hope. But it does remind us that suffering doesn't place us beyond God's care.

If you're feeling stuck, discouraged, or disappointed with where life has taken you, join us in praying for the strength to trust God's faithfulness in the season you're facing.

Today's Scripture:

“But Joseph said to them, ‘Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.’” — Genesis 50:19–20 (NIV)

In today's devotional:

  • Trusting God when life doesn't go as planned
  • Finding purpose in difficult seasons
  • What Joseph's story teaches about God's providence
  • Dealing with disappointment and unexpected setbacks
  • Remembering God's care when you feel stuck
  • A prayer for trust, patience, and renewed hope

Toy Man' Dedicates Life To Bringing Joy To Thousands

Jeffrey Olsen, better known as the “Toy Man," dedicates his life to bringing joy to thousands of children across California. He is not married and doesn’t have any children, but uses all of his extra time to help children who could use a little extra love. Watch the video to see his remarkable story.

He has helped over 59,960 people through his charity, and most of it has come out of his own pocket. He lives to help people, and that includes his 92-year-old mother, Olga, whom he cares for full-time.

The “Toy Man,” who is 60, has spent the last 36 years giving out toys to children who could use some cheer. He even has a whole shed dedicated to his charity, full of toys and clothes and things that children like.

Jeffrey worked as a salesman at JCPenney. He invested money in the stock market, which has helped him fund his charitable efforts. What’s even more remarkable is that as a child, doctors misdiagnosed him with epilepsy, and he was one of many children at the same hospital to receive a misdiagnosis. As a result, for the first 33 years of his life, he took medication that caused him to be slightly developmentally delayed.

How Personal Hardships Inspired the 'Toy Man' to Give Back

Despite this setback, he’s overcome so much by being successful and dedicating his life to helping others.

“That’s also what makes me want to help the people, because of having to go through that in life. When I do this work, I feel like I have the spirits of these kids with me when I go because I have this feeling that’s pushed me to want to do it,” Jeffrey said.

The San Diego area of California is lucky to have a person like Jeffrey living there. He lives a modest life and chooses to spend his money and time helping others. He is a rare kind indeed, and so many children and families are so thankful for him.
