Acts 14:1-12

And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed. 2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren. 3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands. 4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles. 5 And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them, 6 They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about: 7 And there they preached the gospel. 8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: 9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed.

Jesus shall reign where’er the sun
Does his successive journeys run;
His kingdom stretch from shore to shore,
Till moons shall wax and wane no more.

Behold the islands with their kings,
And Europe her best tribute brings;
From north to south the princes meet,
To pay their homage at His feet.

There Persia, glorious to behold,
There India shines in eastern gold;
And barb’rous nations at His word
Submit, and bow, and own their Lord.

To Him shall endless prayer be made,
And praises throng to crown His head;
His Name like sweet perfume shall rise
With every morning sacrifice.

People and realms of every tongue
Dwell on His love with sweetest song;
And infant voices shall proclaim
Their early blessings on His Name.

Blessings abound wherever He reigns;
The prisoner leaps to lose his chains;
The weary find eternal rest,
And all the sons of want are blessed.

Where He displays His healing power,
Death and the curse are known no more:
In Him the tribes of Adam boast
More blessings than their father lost.

Let every creature rise and bring
Peculiar honors to our King;
Angels descend with songs again,
And earth repeat the loud amen!

The Downfall of Pornography - A Biblical Approach

This is a Bible teaching I did when I worked for Calvary Chapel in St. Petersburg, FL. The study is on the topic of Pornography. Pornography is something I had struggled with for years, yet through the Word of God, I found freedom and forgiveness. If you have a problem with pornography, please take the time to listen to the whole message and consider what God has to say about it. If you are addicted, you can change. You do not need to be held captive by the lusts of this world. If you have any questions about this study, or on the Bible in general, please feel free to contact me. God bless you all!

Exodus & Moses: God's Orchestration

Southside Baptist Church
May 3, 2015 - Evening Service
Exodus 1:1-2:10

Summary: We begin our study through the book of Exodus, and as we look at the beginning of the story that is so familiar, we examine how Israel fell into slavery to Egypt, how Egypt fell into fear, distrust, and paranoia, and how God began working through a baby to eventually deliver the people of God.

Peter's Journey: Expert Fish Wranglers

Southside Baptist Church
May 3, 2015 - Morning Service
John 21:15-19

Summary: We continue to look at Peter's journey of faith. In John 21, we find Peter and the other disciples struggling with the crucifixion of Jesus, and Jesus comes and strips away to facade and calls forth the disciple in Peter. As we look at Peter's journey, we think about the masks we wear, and our struggles to give God full reign in our lives.

"Walking In The New Life" – Pastor D. A. Waite – Romans 6:1-11 – BFTBC

On Sunday, May 3, 2015, Pastor D. A. Waite preached a sermon entitled: "Walking In The New Life" from the texts of Romans 6:1-11 at Bible For Today Baptist Church of Collingswood, New Jersey.

Romans 6:1-11

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin,

God's Preachers Have Always Been Unpopular! - KLPTV.ORG

God picks His preachers and does not check with you to see if you will like them or not! He sends spokesmen to your city and churches and gives you His message as recorded straight from His revelation, the Bible. The sad record is just like Israel refused to follow God for most of it's history, so Americans feel they are religious, going to heaven by their terms, and listen to the preachers they like, and reject the ones that don't suit them. Rebellious Israel always liked the ones they picked and rejected the ones God sent.

John 7:1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. 2 Now the Jews' Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. 3 His brothers therefore said to Him, "Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing. 4 For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world." 5 For even His brothers did not believe in Him.

Think Like Jesus - KLPTV.ORG

George Barna's book, THINK LIKE JESUS, is a devastating reality book, in a truer sense then the present menu of reality TV shows of the gross and the unusually weird. The facts are hard to deny when they stare you in the face. The truth is 91% of those in America who claim to be born again probably are not, but are deceived hypocrites like Judas Iscariot and will be stunned to find their place in the Lake of Fire. By careful analysis about seven million people in the entire nation actually take the Bible seriously and read it and obey it.

Romans 8:6-9

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. [7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. [8] So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. [9] But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Therefore, thinking like Jesus is not optional, it is mandatory and proof of life. Thinking like everyone else in this world proves death is still the present and future reality of those disciples of Judas, even though they claim they follow Christ. Thinking like Jesus means understanding God's way and the evidence of this mindset of thinking proves new life and it bears real changed-life fruit.

Resignation or Revolution

Many Christians think that everything that happens is God's will. If so, Jesus was INSANE. How so? Because he constantly did all he could to interrupt the status quo, which he attributed to SATAN, not God. As followers of Christ, we are called to do likewise, for the benefit of those in our world.

Paul, The Energizer Apostle

Much to the chagrin of the religious leaders who hated and violently opposed the Apostle Paul, he just kept going, and going, and going, and going. Even when they apparently killed him, it didn't stop him. We have the same power of God that Paul had, and we can emulate his persistence.

Acts 13:40-52

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; 41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you. 42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. 43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. 44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. 46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
