Romans 5:6-14

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

1 John 4:11-21

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us.

People have started calling everything the " holiday season ". They have taken the Christmas out of the season. There is no where in the Bible that says that Jesus was born on December 25th, but this is a time we celebrate. Jesus was born during one of the feasts. Christ Jesus was the lamb with out blemish, He was the sacrifice to save us from the world. Do you truly believe? To know Him is to love Him, to love Him is to truly know Him. Do you really want to be with Him? What is more important to you more than your life? When you have made up in your mind that you are for Him you will be with Him.

Luke 2:10-18
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

If there were only two others crucified with Christ, as most all paintings throughout history have depicted, the Gospel accounts significantly contradict one another, and the Bible is nothing more than a collection of stories that may or may not be true. This teaching is an excellent barometer to measure one's attitude toward the Word of God.

We continue our ongoing walk through the Book of Romans. This week we finished chapter 11, covering the verses 22-36. We looked at the Apostle Paul's explanation of God's plan for the eventual salvation of all the Jewish nation. Every circumstance being God's plan, Paul here makes case for the assurance of salvation and eternal security. (Session 35)

"Get a life" is God's basic message to every human being who is born. Huh? Doesn't their birth give them life? Only temporarily, and usually with eventually diminishing quality. See why the Bible can be summed up in 4.8 seconds as: "the story of two men--the first guy wrecked everything, the second guy is fixing it."

Those attacks, whether by intimidation, mockery, or legal threat, may indeed discourage the Christian from testifying to the grace and righteousness of God. But we should not be silent!
