Mr. T Explains How His 'Tacky' Shoes Keep His 'Head Toward Heaven'

In an interview, Hollywood actor Mr. T explained how his “tacky” shoes help him keep his “head toward heaven.”

Everyone wants to experience success. It’s only natural and human for someone to want their efforts to succeed; there is nothing wrong with that desire. I mean, no one who goes out into the world hopes and wishes to fail, right?

But what happens when someone sees their efforts greatly prosper? They usually become wealthy and obtain some level of fame and recognition. This can often lead people to be consumed with money, fame and success. All they want is more, more and more. Nothing is ever enough for this kind of person.

This person will also forget their humble origins, the people who were with them initially, and the source of their money and success. In an interview, actor Mr. T found a unique way of helping him stay grounded and reminding himself of what matters in life.

Mr. T, who has been around for decades and starred in the beloved show The A-Team, is best known for his catchphrase, “I pity the fool,” and wearing many gaudy gold necklaces. But he explained that it’s his shoes that keep him grounded despite all his success.

In the clip, the woman interviewing him notices his shoes. She laughs at them and even calls them “tacky.” His response to her question about his shoes was likely not what she expected.

He stated that those shoes had been in his family for years, and his father and brothers had worn them. He says that the shoes remind him to stay humble, remember where he came from, and not get too proud and consumed with success.

He also added that his shoes remind him to always think about the true source of his fame and success.

“They keep me level,” he said. “As I said, I want to keep my feet on the ground and my head toward heaven.”

James 4:6 “But he gives more grace. So that the Writings say, God is against the men of pride, but he gives grace to those who make themselves low before him.”

Savannah Guthrie Opens Up To Kelly Clarkson About How Her Faith Has Been A Rock Through Hardship

This video clip is an interview from the Kelly Clarkson Show, with Savannah Guthrie, broadcast journalist, and co-host of The Today Show. In the interview she talks with Kelly about how her faith has been a rock through hardship.

Her new book called, Mostly What God Does: Reflections On Seeking His Love Everywhere, was recently published. Kelly first asks her what she does to chill, especially since her job on The Today Show is talking about the news.

“What I try to do is keep it in perspective. I mean I think that’s why, I mean faith has always been important to me but I really lean on it,” Savannah says. “I feel like faith gives me a perspective…”

Kelly then asks Savannah about a time in her life when faith really pulled her out when she was really down. Savannah talks about when her father passed away when she was 16. People would ask her if she still believed in God after that and she says that she remembered thinking, “This is when I need him the most,” which is so true.

When we are going through a difficult time, that is when he need to reach out to God to help us through. We need to depend on him and know he is in control of the whole situation.

She goes on to talk about how her book is a journey of faith. She says that, “Mostly what God does is love you,” which is a really amazing sentiment. Focusing on God’s love is so important and a reminder of who God truly is.

You can tell from the video that Savannah is strong in her faith, has learned many lessons about life and God over the years, and is happy to share them with others through her latest book.

“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.” - 1 John 4:7

Candace Cameron Bure Reflects On The Bible Verse From Job That Sparked Laughter

Actress and Christian Candace Cameron Bure mentioned that while reading the Old Testament book of Job, there was a verse that caused her to laugh out loud.

When most people think of the book of Job, laughter is not commonly associated with it. Job, in the Bible’s Old Testament, tells the story of Job – a righteous man of God. The Lord had blessed Job. He was a wealthy man with a wife, many children and an abundance of livestock.

However, Job’s life soon took a dramatic turn. Satan told God that Job would not praise Him if all his material blessings, family and health were taken away. So, that’s what happened – everything was taken from Job. But Satan was proven wrong, and Job continued to praise God.

Later in the book, as Candace mentions, as Job is enduring these hardships, he has individuals giving him advice. Their advice is not helpful for what he is going through, and it is one verse in which Job responds to them that caused the “Fuller House” actress to react with laughter.

“There’s a line in there that he says back to them, and I’m paraphrasing: ‘If only you would just shut your mouth, and let that be your wisdom,’” she said. “I was like, ‘Job, that’s so smart.’

She added: “Sometimes people think they are so wise, and I’m, like, if you’d only shut your mouth and being wise from keeping silent. It made me laugh out loud reading that in the Bible.”

One of the nation’s presidents, Abraham Lincoln, has a quote often credited to him that also expresses this idea. “It is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.”

Sadly, we all know people who would benefit greatly from Job’s and Abraham Lincoln’s wise words.

Job 13:5 “If only you would keep quiet, it would be a sign of wisdom!”

Mother's Response To Her Daughter Bullying Another Student Sends Powerful Message

One mother found out her daughter was bullying another student at school, acted and used her daughter’s punishment to send a powerful message.

Most people are struggling and battling against something. There is not a single perfect person walking on Earth. Everyone has their problems, failures and flaws. That’s why picking on and ridiculing someone is never helpful. Such cruel and hateful treatment will only serve to make things dramatically worse.

As everyone knows, kids can be some of the cruelest and cold-hearted people, especially to one another. So, when one mother found out that her daughter had been treating a classmate of hers in a less-than-optimal manner, she punished her daughter in a pretty incredible and moving way.

In a video posted on TikTok, a mother showed what she made her daughter do to apologize for her actions. The short, 40-second video begins with the mother and her daughter walking through the aisles at Target.

Text in the video explains what viewers are seeing as they watch the short clip.

“POV (Point of View): Your child decided to be a follower and bully another kid today knowing you hate bullies! This is how we apologize in our house hold,” the text reads.

Next, the video cuts to a basketful of items. There is also a card in which the child wrote a message apologizing to the other young lady for her actions.

The note inside the card reads: “Im sorry for being mean to you and talking about your hair, you are a wonderful friend to me, so I apologize for that.”

The mother, who posted the video on social media, wrote how she always tells her children that they never know what someone else is enduring and what they are experiencing.

Children can be cruel to one another, teasing and making fun of others for something they have no control over. However, it appears that this mother is doing things the right way. She is trying to teach her children to be empathetic and to show kindness and compassion for others.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”

Today Show Host Savannah Guthrie Discusses Her Faith And God’s Impact On Her Life

A host of the Today Show, Savannah Guthrie, has opened up about her deep faith and God's impact on her life.

One’s faith and belief in God is very personal to many people and can be hard to discuss openly and publicly. Some people will completely disregard it, and others may even ridicule and mock the person who brings up God and faith. However, someone talking about God and Jesus Christ and the difference He has made in their life may be just what someone needs to hear.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Savannah, who admits that she had fears about discussing her faith publicly, put them aside. Savannah, in her book, “Mostly What God Does,” opened up about her faith and how God has touched her life.

She states that she grew up in the church. But it was during a devastating time as a teenager that she grew even closer to Him, clinging to his healing, comfort and protection.

Her father passed away when she was only 16 years old. She came home one Friday night to learn that he had passed unexpectedly.

“My father was a deep man of faith and conviction,” Savannah said. “I remember being asked by friends, ‘How can you still believe?’ And I remember saying, ‘Oh no, this is when I need Him the most. I can’t lose my dad and lose God at the same time.’”

Later in the clip, Savannah talked about becoming the mother to two beautiful children and how God uses parenthood to show His deep and unending love to us.

“I came to understand that parenthood is God’s greatest metaphor,” she said. “I look at my kids, and I think about how I love them and how they delight me and how much I enjoy them. And when I clued into the way I feel about my kids is how God feels about me and how God feels about us, that was transformative.”

1 John 3:1 “See what great love the Father has given us in naming us the children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not see who we are, because it did not see who he was.”

Actress Danica McKellar Shares Her Faith Journey And Her Hope This Easter

Actress Danica McKellar has shared her faith journey and her biggest hope for this Easter.

Talking about faith and sharing how one found the Lord can be difficult and stressful. However, the Bible states we are to go out into the world, into all nations, and make disciples for Him. One of the most effective ways to do that is to share one’s testimony and how Christ’s love and forgiveness changed their life.

But most people are entirely too concerned with the opinions of others. What will people think about us if we talk about religion, faith and Jesus Christ? Will we offend people? Will they think differently of us? These are thoughts that someone will experience that will likely keep them from sharing the good news about Jesus Christ.

However stressful as it may be, putting those fears and anxieties aside is necessary. Christ’s life-changing message of love, hope and forgiveness is too important to keep concealed and hidden away.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Danica shared how she came to know Jesus Christ, was changed by the Holy Spirit and what she hopes for during this Easter season.

As The Wonder Years actress mentions, her faith journey all started because of an action from her friend and fellow actress Candace Cameron Bure.

Danica says that after going to church with Candace where she watched a Passion play, her “life was transformed.”

“The Holy Spirit came to me; that’s my only explanation,” she said.

Now, Danica has a wish and hope for all people at Easter. She wants all to remain open to learning about and receiving God’s abundant love.

“His love and forgiveness is here for every single person,” she said. “It’s available to every person on Earth, and that is amazing. I am so grateful.”

Matthew 28:6 “He is not here, for he has come to life again, even as he said. Come, see the Lord’s resting place.”

Candace Cameron Bure And Kirk Cameron Share Insights On The Power Of Prayer

Kirk Cameron and his little sister Candace Cameron Bure shared their thoughts and insights about the importance and power of prayer.

Praying to God is a vital and necessary component of being a Christian. Consistent and honest communication is a must for any relationship to grow and prosper, and that includes our relationship with the Creator of the universe. Through this act of communicating with the Lord, we grow in knowledge and the wisdom of God.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Candace and Kirk point out how and when Christians should reach out to God and why it’s such an important act. Sometimes, as Candace points out, it’s not even about what we say while praying but simply that act of praying that is important.

“God doesn’t always answer prayers the way we want Him to,” Candace said. “But it’s so important because it not only connects us to Him, but it’s just saying, ‘Lord, I am dependent upon you no matter, no matter what happens.”’

Also, in the segment, Candace admits that while she enjoys praying and conversing with God, she is someone who will not volunteer to pray out loud at big gatherings.

“I am not one of these spiritual super powerhouse prayer people verbally,” she said. “Like, I love praying, but, you know, I’m not going to stand up and say, ‘Let me pray for all of you,’ because, you know, I don’t feel as confident in that.”

However, despite her apprehension about praying at large gatherings, Candace says that she's seen God answer prayers repeatedly throughout her life.

“But I pray so much and I see God answer so many things, to the smallest, tiny things, and sometimes really big things,” she added.

Prayer is something that followers of Christ should be engaged in daily. He wants to hear from us and know what’s weighing on our hearts and minds.

Romans 12:12 “Being glad in hope, quiet in trouble, at all times given to prayer,”

I Built an Altar and Cried Out to God

Experience the power of faith and resilience in our latest video. Join us as we share a deeply personal story from our time as missionaries in East Africa. In a foreign land, faced with unfamiliar healthcare resources, Margaret fell seriously ill with pneumonia. As her condition worsened, we found ourselves at a loss for where to turn. With her health rapidly declining, I made a pivotal decision: to build an altar by her bedside and devote the entire night to fervent prayer. Throughout the night, Margaret's coughing echoed through the guest house, matched only by my cries to God for her healing. It was a night of intense spiritual warfare, where sleep eluded us all. But as dawn broke, hope emerged. We were able to secure medical assistance for Margaret, marking the beginning of a challenging journey home—a journey prolonged by her weakened state. Candace Cameron Bure And Julie Chen Moonves On How God Uses Our Rejections and Failures

Julie Chen Moonves appeared on Candace Cameron Bure’s podcast, where they discussed how God often uses our failures and stumbles to teach, redirect and mold us.

Failing at anything, no matter how many times it may happen, is never a fun experience. There will never be an instance when we stumble and fall and think, “That was a good time, let’s do that again.” However, God can and does use these times when we fall short as opportunities to teach and lead us into the correct and better direction and path.

The short clip begins with Julie talking about how she experienced early career failure and rejection for several years. It took her four years of constant rejection before she got an on-air reporting opportunity.

But instead of becoming bitter about her early career troubles, Julie believes God used that and every other time she has experienced hardship during her career for a purpose.

“You know, I feel like my whole career in life was dealing with rejection that was meant to be, that ended up landing me where on the path that God had already planned,” Julie said.

Candace added that during times of rejection and failure, we grow. It makes us stronger and builds character.

The short clip ends with Julie sharing words of wisdom told to her by a friend about God's response in times of rejection and failure.

“Someone said to me recently, ‘God has three answers: Yes, wait and instead of no, it’s I’ve got something better,”’ Julie said.

Rejection and failure will always be difficult. But as the ladies so astutely point out, failure is an opportunity for growth and a chance for God to work in our lives, directing and molding us into the person He wants us to be.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Former NFL Player Emmanuel Acho: ‘Obedience’ To God Is Secret To Greatness

Former NFL Player Emmanuel Acho believes that obedience to God is the secret to doing and achieving greatness in life.

Most people want to do things that matter and make a difference. Individuals have a desire to know that their existence means something. Who doesn’t want to live a life of significance? But that is much easier said than done.

God has a unique will, plan and purpose for each human life. No one is put on Earth by mistake or by happenstance. The Lord wants to achieve something great in and through every life. But to do that, to know and understand and fulfill God’s will for our lives requires obedience on our part.

In a conversation with Christian musician Lecrae about the importance of talent and obedience, Emmanuel stated that he believes obedience will win out every time. He even points to specific people in the Bible, when they were obedient, that God used to achieve greatness.

“And so, I went on this goose chase, Old Testament of just, like, Moses, with Samson, Esther, whether it was Elijah, like what was the secret?” Emmanuel said. “And they all were obedient, and if they weren’t obedient that’s when they lost favor.”

Emmanuel adds that God can use anyone with any skill level or ability, but the Lord wants someone obedient to Him and His commands. In the Bible, God repeatedly used ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

“Yo, it’s not just about being talented,” he said. “I always tell people I’m talented, but I ain’t that talented, you feel me? I ain’t that talented. Are you willing to be obedient? That, to me, is the secret power to greatness.”

God is capable of miracles, more than anything we could ever imagine, and he has plans to include us but obedience to Him and His will is a must.

Luke 9:23 “And he said to them all, ‘If any man has a desire to come after me, let him give up all, and take up his cross every day, and come after me.’”

Phil Wickham Encourages Everyone To Share Christ’s Message Of Love And Hope

One of the most popular and talented people in all of Christian music, Phil Wickham, has advice for those looking to share the message of Jesus Christ.

Witnessing and telling others about Jesus Christ is often a daunting task. This act is made even more terrifying when you aren’t sure what to say or how it may be received. Despite how uneasy this may make some, the Bible states that Christians are to spread the gospel of Christ.

For those who are unsure of what to say, Phil, in an interview, states that during those times Jesus Christ will supply the words and the message. He will, as He always is, remain by our side, guiding and directing our words.

“The Lord will give you the words at the right time,” Phil said. “What I would say is just, like, come with love and come with joy and come with hope to tell your story about how Jesus has changed your life.”

Later in the clip, Phil adds that Christians cannot be complacent or fearful. The message of Christ is much too important not to share with others.

“You have great news,” Phil said. “And the news is that God loves people, and so you need to share it.”

Christ’s message of love, hope, forgiveness and salvation is one that many people today are looking for. Everyone is searching for hope, something they can believe in and lean on during life’s storms.

Jesus Christ brought hope into a lost and broken world. He willingly went to the cross, suffering an agonizing death and rose from the grave days later. Christ went through all that for you and me to give us hope and a future.

This message of love and redemption is way too important to conceal.

Romans 1:16 “For I have no feeling of shame about the good news, because it is the power of God giving salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first, and then to the Greek.”

Lauren Daigle Opens Up About Struggle With Depression And Anxiety

One of the most talented and popular musicians in all of Christian music, Lauren Daigle, has now opened up about her fight with depression and anxiety.

Life is often not an easy or fair experience. Everyday living can push anyone to their breaking point. The stress and worry of life can become overwhelming, weighing heavily on one’s mind. At times, it can feel like the entire world is on your shoulders or back. Even someone who thinks themselves to be the most mentally tough can encounter issues.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Lauren states that she has experienced panic attacks, anxiety and depression.

“I have dealt with panic attacks,” she said. That was kind of a new thing in my life – anxiety, depression.”

But, thankfully, there is One who is a comfort and a shelter amid the storms and troubles of life. There is One who provides a peace that surpasses all understanding. He is the one that Lauren turned to whenever she was going through these dark valleys.

“And the more I decided to lean into God and say, ‘God, despite what I see, despite the chaos that is surrounding me and the way I feel and the way that all this works. Despite that chaos, I have to trust that you know what is greater.”

Like all Christians, Lauren encounters periods when her faith in Him, even when she turns to God for help, protection and answers, can become shaken. When her faith and trust in God are wobbly at times, Lauren adds that she’ll take it to Him in prayer.

However, no matter what we are dealing with or going through, God is still in control. He is still working and cares about and for us. Whatever we may be going through or dealing with, reach out for help. Don’t deal with an overwhelming situation by yourself, and also remember to take that matter to God.

The beauty of God is that He will, He will meet you right where you are,” Lauren said.

Psalm 55:22 “Put your cares on the Lord, and he will be your support; he will not let the upright man be moved.”

Powerful Video Shows How Jesus Christ Still Changes Hearts And Lives

One video makes it abundantly clear how the power of Jesus Christ still can and does change hearts, minds and lives today.

This lost and broken world is full of people who are hurting, struggling and simply trying to survive by any means. Many are in a position where they see no end to their hopeless situation. They can see no end to their struggle, hurt and heartache.

But, thankfully, there is one who provides the healing and comfort that so many desperately crave and desire. Jesus Christ has a message of love and hope that can transform hearts and lives. He can provide a peace that surpasses all understanding.

A video posted on YouTube features a wide and varied collection of people who demonstrate that Jesus Christ is still fully capable of performing life-changing and saving miracles today. Using black-and-white images, the ad quickly tells a handful of stories of several people who were lost and living in sin but turned from their ways after finding Jesus Christ.

Some of the people included in the minute-long clip are a former witch, someone who worked closely with noted atheist Richard Dawkins, a former KKK member, a former drug addict, a former lesbian activist and a former abolitionist. But they have since changed their ways after finding Jesus Christ and turning their lives over to Him.

The people in the ad are individuals most people, including many Christians, would have written off as being past the point of no return. But praise God, there is none too far gone for Jesus Christ. His love and forgiveness know no limits or restrictions.

The ad ends by stating that He doesn't just "get us," but saves and transforms us.

Christ willingly went to the cross, bled and died for all, even for the worst of sinners. The power of Jesus Christ is still saving and changing lives today. This ad is an excellent example of the transformational nature of Christ’s love and forgiveness.

1 Timothy 1:15-16 “It is a true saying, in which all may put their faith, that Christ Jesus came into the world to give salvation to sinners, of whom I am the chief: but for this reason, I was given mercy, so that in me, the chief of sinners, Jesus Christ might make clear all his mercy, as an example to those who in the future would have faith in him to eternal life.”

Kirk Cameron And NBA Player Jonathan Isaac Talk ‘Finding Greatness’ In Jesus Christ

Actor, author and television show host Kirk Cameron and NBA player Jonathan Isaac discussed several topics pertaining to God, religion and faith, including “finding true greatness.”

The world is lost and broken, filled with struggling and hurting people. Sin, ever since it entered the world, has done nothing but hurt, destroy, and damage. Sin has also caused man’s priorities, goals and aspirations to become inverted and opposed to that of God.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Kirk and Jonathan talked about how the world so often defines greatness and how God would define greatness, and how finding true greatness is only possible through Jesus Christ.

Typically, the world looks at the exterior and accomplishments, and that’s how they define greatness.

“The world has defined greatness as accolades, statistics, what you have, the money in your bank account, how many things you want, all these different things,” Jonathan said. “And it makes us insecure about who we are. It makes us fearful about other people and what other people think about us because we’re measuring ourselves on a worldly standard of greatness.”

However, as Jonathan correctly puts it, “true greatness” is only found in the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

“But I believe that true greatness is found in Christ,” Jonathan said. “And when believers can come together and say, ‘You know what? I don’t need to define myself by worldly standards. I am truly great because of who lives on the inside of me.’”

Jonathan adds that his statement of being truly great is not a brag but an answer to those hurting in the world.

“It’s not a boastful thing,” he said. “It’s not an arrogant thing. It’s saying, ‘I have in me what the world needs and God is for me. God is not against me. God is on my side.’”

In addition to being a professional basketball player, Jonathan is also a speaker, minister and the founder of Unitus, a clothing company that “champions faith, family, and freedom. Together we’re redefining greatness,” according to the company’s website

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
