A Prayer to Discern How to Spend Your Time | Your Daily Prayer

Life is filled with endless choices, responsibilities, and opportunities—yet time remains limited. Whether you’re facing a full to-do list, standing at a crossroads, or simply longing for your days to feel purposeful, God invites you to seek His wisdom. James 1:5 assures us that when we ask God for guidance, He gives generously and without judgment. Honoring God with our time begins by going to Him first—listening, waiting, and trusting His direction. Even when clarity feels delayed, we can rest in the confidence that God is at work and will guide each step as we surrender our plans to Him.

Trusting God with the Year Ahead | Your Nightly Prayer

Father, Tonight we come to You with full hearts and open hands. You see the dreams being sent out, the waiting, the wondering, and the quiet ache of letting go. Increase our trust in You as we step into this new year. Fill us with joy and peace that do not depend on outcomes, but on Your presence. Hold our children as You have always done, and hold us too as we learn to release what we love most back into Your care. We trust that You are writing a story far greater than anything we could imagine. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer to Walk by Faith in the New Year | Your Daily Prayer

As a new year approaches, it’s easy to feel weighed down by doubt, fear, and uncertainty about what lies ahead. Yet Scripture calls believers to live differently—to walk by faith, not by sight. In 2 Corinthians 5:7, Paul reminds us that faith means trusting God beyond what we can see or understand. While circumstances may feel overwhelming, God is present, faithful, and actively working in our lives. This new year invites us to shift our focus from fear to faith, holding firmly to God’s promises and trusting Him to guide every step forward.

This 9-Year-Old’s Teddy Bear Mission Is Bringing Joy to Hospitalized Children

This 9-year-old’s teddy bear mission is bringing joy to hospitalized children. The young man saw a need and a mission field and took real, concrete steps in order to fulfill that need. Watch the short but tear-jerking clip to hear how one caring, tender-hearted and entrepreneurial little guy is helping to put smiles on the faces of children in hospitals.

Life is not often fair. Things will crop up out of nowhere, even through no fault or decision of our own. Situations and circumstances can arise without a moment’s warning and completely alter the trajectory of our lives. This can happen for the best, and sadly, it can also occur for the worst.

Despite how horrible and gut-wrenching life can be at times, there is no situation worse than seeing a child suffer. Those St. Jude Hospital commercials, featuring children with cancer, can and do emotionally wreck people. No child should have to go through something like that, but unfortunately, it happens every day.

But what if there was something that could be done to put even a momentary smile on the face of a child in the hospital?

A clip posted on YouTube tells the story of Jack’s Bravery Bears. It’s an organization, started by a 9-year-old, with a straightforward mission: “collecting and delivering hundreds of stuffed teddy bears to children at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.”

So, where and how did Jack, the loving and caring young man, come up with his mission? It came to him while he was doing something else for the hospitalized children. The clip mentions that he was making blankets for the children when the inspiration for Jack’s Bravery Bears struck.

“I said, ‘Wouldn’t it be fun if the kids at Nationwide had a teddy bear to go with their blanket?’ Jack said. “And then, I started collecting teddy bears.”

Jack understands that the youngsters in the hospital are going through “a lot” and mentioned that he “just wanted to give them a boost of confidence.”

What an incredibly sweet young man with a heart for those sick and hurting.

Philippians 2:4 “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

How I Survived Alone in the Mountains

In this powerful account, Anna shares her difficult upbringing, steeped in new age witchcraft and abuse. She describes her eventual move to the mountains and how, facing a dire situation, she began a profound "spiritual journey" and a "spiritual awakening" by reaching out to Jesus. This experience led to her "letting go" of past burdens and finding herself "chosen by God" in her darkest hour, highlighting a "sad reality" she overcame.

Letting Go of What Was | Your Nightly Prayer

Lord, As I look back on this past year, I thank You for carrying me through it all. I confess that some of my choices missed the mark, and I repent of any sin or hurt I may have caused. Teach me what I need to learn from the past without allowing it to define me. Help me truly receive Your forgiveness, knowing that what You forgive, You no longer hold against me. Tonight, I release the weight of what was and step forward in faith, trusting You with what is ahead. Thank You for making all things new. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer to Celebrate God’s Faithfulness This Year | Your Daily Prayer

Dear God, today I celebrate Your faithfulness. You have carried me through every season, and Your love has never failed. As I enter this new year, help me trust You fully and turn away from fear, doubt, and distraction. No matter what challenges come, I know You will guide me with wisdom, peace, and grace. You are faithful, and You are good—today and always. Amen.

Looking Back on the Year with Gratitude | Your Nightly Prayer

Dear God, As this year comes to a close, I pause to look back with gratitude. It wasn’t an easy year, but I can see now that You were with me through every moment. I thank You for sustaining me in uncertainty, for providing comfort in pain, and for giving strength when I felt weak. Help me choose gratitude in every circumstance—not because life is always good, but because You are. As I step into what’s ahead, I trust You with my future just as You have faithfully carried me through the past. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This Dad’s Take on Teamwork in Marriage Is Simple Yet Touching

This dad’s take on teamwork in a marriage is simple yet touching. His view of how a husband and wife should work together is powerful and heartwarming. Watch the short but moving clip to hear what this father and husband said about working together in a marriage relationship.

Marriage is a worthwhile and excellent endeavor. But like everything else worth having in this life, it does not come easily. Marriage requires commitment, perseverance, time and work from both parties. If any of those are missing from either person, then that marriage relationship will be rocky, to say the least.

As anyone who has been or is married understands, that relationship is a partnership. While both individuals should be giving equal effort in all areas of the marriage, sometimes that is not possible due to various reasons. So, when that isn’t an option, the other person can, momentarily, shoulder a greater share of the burden. When one is weak, the other can support, carry and uplift them. They are made greater because they are two instead of one.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a father explains his similar view of a marriage relationship. He understands that both should be doing half the work, but he also knows that this is not always possible.

“One of the things I like to say is, it’s not about being 50-50 on a given day,” he said. “It’s about being 50-50, roughly over a given decade.”

Later in the clip, he added that marriage is not necessarily about a perfect, 50-50 split, but about the other lifting the other up when they are not at their best.

“And I was like, it’s not about Susan and I being even every single day,” he added. “It’s about making sure on the days she’s at, like a 30, I can be at a 70. Or when I’m at a 30, she can be at a 70.”

Near the end of the clip, he added that when it comes to parents with small kids, doing this can be particularly difficult, but he and his wife still find ways to get through the day together when they aren’t running at optimal levels.

Genesis 2:24 “For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.”

A Prayer for Those Struggling to Find Joy This Christmas | Your Daily Prayer

Christmas can be a season filled with beauty and hope, yet for many, it also highlights grief, loss, and emotional heaviness. As this devotional reminds us, celebrations don’t look the same every year—some seasons overflow with joy, while others are marked by sorrow. Still, Scripture assures us that God meets us tenderly in our pain. He is Immanuel, God with us (Matthew 1:23), and He invites us to cast every anxiety on Him because He genuinely cares (1 Peter 5:7). Even when our hearts feel heavy, we can find lasting joy in the truth that Christ came to rescue us, redeem us, and bring the hope of eternal life. Joy may not always look like outward cheer, but it is a steady confidence anchored in the presence and love of Jesus.

Beloved 'Brady Bunch' Actress Ann B. Davis Shares Her Powerful Testimony

Beloved “Brady Bunch” actress Ann B. Davis shared her powerful testimony. She opened up about when and how she came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Watch the short yet moving clip to hear what the late actress said about what led her to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

“The Brady Bunch” is an iconic television show known and loved by millions worldwide. While the show may have ended its television run in the mid-1970s, it can still be easily found on TV. That’s because the show’s episodes have been replayed over and over again.

Even if you weren’t a fan of the show, you can probably still name a good number of the characters, or more likely, sing the program’s theme song, which is a definite earworm. It’s a show that all are familiar with, to say the least. Despite all the characters on the show, arguably, none were more beloved than Alice, the family’s wisdom-dispensing maid, played by Ann.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the latest actress discussed a variety of topics, including how she came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. What she says about her faith and how she came to know Him is beyond powerful and moving!

“I knew that I wanted to be in show business, but in the process of doing ‘The Brady Bunch,’ I began to feel that something was missing in my life,” Ann said. “I thought, ‘Gee, that’s pretty greedy of me. I’ve got everything going for me. I’ve paid off some debts that I got from the two successful series, and I own my own home. I have friends and all this. What is it I think I’m missing?’”

Ann quickly realized what she was lacking in her life.

“Well, I came to the conclusion that there’s a God-shaped space in everybody’s heart,” she said.
“And until you feel that space with God, you never know what it feels like to be whole and complete. And that’s what happened to me, I found the Lord. I mean, I was always a Christian, but I wasn’t always a practicing, living Christian.”

Later in the clip, she added that she had experienced a “testimony of affluence.”

“I’ve had everything the world has to offer,” she said. “God made me a better offer.”

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

The Joy of Giving | Your Nightly Prayer

Shape my heart to reflect yours—a heart that gives freely, humbly, and sacrificially. Let my life echo your generosity and bring joy to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
