The infamous 'Miracle on the Hudson' heroes reunite after 15 years. Over a decade ago, Captain

Chesley Sullenberger and his co-pilot made an emergency landing on the Hudson River, saving the lives of over 150 people. Watch the video to see him recall the day he saved 150 people. 

That day over 15 years ago, the plane hit a flock of birds in flight and lost thrust. As New Yorkers below saw the plane on fire, looking like it would soon crash, emergency workers began to get phone calls. Meanwhile, the NYPD scuba team put their gear on, ready for anything. 

When Captain Sully realized he didn’t have enough altitude or speed to make it to LaGuardia Airport. He quickly chose the least bad option to land—the wide, flat Hudson River. Sully safely and skillfully landed in the water, where passengers escaped. 

The Rest Is History

The scuba team was there, in a chopper, to help them out of the frigid water, which was a mere 36°. Miraculously, everyone survived.

The captain reunited with the dive team and thanked them for playing a role in saving lives that day. It wasn’t just divers who helped the people out of the water. There were lots of people—private boats, ferries, and various emergency responders. 

One of the divers, Robert Rodriguez, said, “It's probably the first time collectively a bunch of people from different industries did a gut check and said, ‘I'm going to act bravely in this moment.’ I know I had some fear in the helicopter that day, but I said, ‘This is what you've been tasked to do. This is your job, so swallow it and try to save whoever you can.’”

The landing was so extraordinary that filmmakers made a movie about the pilot and the plane landing, called “Sully,” in 2016. It’s certain that the people who helped to save those passengers will never be forgotten.

Bob Saget's wife and 'Full House' costars share memories 2 years after his death, and it is so bittersweet to hear. Bob Saget lived to bring laughter and make people happy, and he did just that. Watch the video to see his wife and former “Full House” co-stars’ message.

Bob’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, recalled Bob’s last text to her: “I was just very grateful that it was all, ‘I love you so much.’ I think I said, ‘I love you dearly,' and he said, ‘I love you endlessly,' and then I said, ‘I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.’ It was just all love.”

Bob died just a couple of hours after he finished a stand-up comedy performance in Florida. The 65-year-old died suddenly in his hotel, apparently from a head wound caused by an accidental fall. 

A Life Full of Memories

His “Full House” co-stars all gathered on Zoom to reminisce about their favorite memories of Bob. Dave Coulier remembered how Bob would call him randomly to sing him high-pitched Christmas songs, to make him laugh. Dave and John Stamos were pallbearers at Bob’s funeral. 

Candace Cameron Bure said Bob was like a father to her since she first met him when she was 10. The pain of losing him hurt her deeply. 

At the time, John wrote, "I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much, Bobby."

The loss of Bob will always be felt by fans of the show. Rizzo told Bob’s fans, “I’m still blown away by the fact that Bob hasn't faded from all of your hearts in the slightest… Thank you all for continuing to keep his memory alive.”

Bob was a great man, a great actor, and a great comedian. Rest in peace, Bob Saget.

Miraculously, a woman survives after falling and crashing down a canyon, and it is incredible. The woman and her truck fell 250 feet down a canyon after she swerved on the road, trying to avoid hitting a deer. After four days stranded there with a head injury and unable to walk, it is a miracle that she’s alive—watch the video to see the wreck.

In the video, you can see that the truck is completely damaged. It’s rolled over and crumpled. Fortunately, a local fisherman, Chris Ayers, heard her faint cries for help on the fourth day and found her. 

“Her truck couldn’t be seen from the road, so his quest for new fishing waters ultimately saved her life,” the San Dimas Mountain Rescue Team said. 

How She Survived the Accident

“It’s got to be God-led, I happened to stop in that one spot,” Chris said. “It’s almost like fate.. I don’t know how she survived it,” he added in amazement. “I saw the steering wheel was almost folded like a taco. Her head must have hit that.” 

Somehow, the driver was able to set up bowls to collect rainwater. She was in Southern California, and it was cold enough to hail. When Chris helped the emergency crew find her, a helicopter had to airlift her to the closest hospital. She was treated for her injuries and hypothermia. 

It is incredible that this woman survived this kind of accident. It must have been terrifying to be alone, injured, and with no cell service for four days. She acted very smart and brave, despite how scary it was. Thank God that she made it through that experience alive.

GMA host Michael Strahan opens up about a call from his daughter that no parent ever wants to get—she has brain cancer. His 18-year-old daughter, Isabella, began having headaches in her freshman year of college. Watch the video to see her story.

Isabella began to struggle with walking straight and thought she just had vertigo. But then one day, she woke up and threw up blood. That’s when her family, on the other side of the country, knew she had to get to a good doctor. 

A doctor, whom Michael credits for saving Isabella’s life, found out that she had a fast-growing brain tumor. She urged Isabella to undergo an emergency surgery, which she did. It was the day before her 19th birthday, and her family flew down to be with her. 

After the Surgery

Isabella had to learn to walk again and was in a lot of pain. After the surgery, she had to do several rounds of proton radiation therapy and chemotherapy. 

Michael said, “I literally think that, in a lot of ways, I’m the luckiest man in the world because I got an amazing daughter, and I know she’s going through it, but I know we’re never given more than we can handle, and she is going to crush this.”

He learned from the experience that he isn’t as strong as he thought he was—experiences like this make you realize you need support, that you can’t carry everything on your shoulders alone.

“I’m grateful just to walk or see friends or do something,” Isabella said, "because when you can’t do something, it really impacts you.” 

Now, Isabella is cancer-free. Looking back, she admits that she should have been more alert to the changes in her body sooner. Now, she has a lot more trust in herself and her body.

Jennifer Hudson tears up when guests thank her for her kindness, and it is such a sweet moment. Her staff put together many videos from people on the show she’s helped. They thanked her and explained how she changed their lives, which brought her to tears. Play the video to see it.

“This show has been one of the most rewarding times of my life,” Jennifer said, after watching the video while on her show. “And I am thankful for every one of y’all,” she said to the audience.

She had to take a tissue out and wipe her eyes after that. 

Her Drive to Make a Difference

Jennifer helps people in a multitude of ways, not just through having guests on her show. She recently partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery to support the No Kid Hungry Initiative and raise money for over 200,000 meals to give to children in need. Her website is currently accepting donations for the initiative. 

She’s helped lots of other charities, too, including those fighting AIDS and human trafficking. 

“Any time you’re helping someone is very important and, of course, when children are involved,” she said. “I feel like your celebrity is not about the fortune or the fame. But if you can’t help anyone, then it’s in vain, it’s pointless.”

She created the Julian D. King Gift Foundation to help children in poverty. Julian was her nephew, who was murdered in a case of domestic violence. The foundation provides children all over the Chicago area with free school supplies because Julian loved school. 

It’s wonderful that a celebrity like Jennifer does so much to help those in need. She has a pure hear,t and she clearly wants to share what she has. She has such a deep love for others that is unique to her. Hopefully, her actions are inspiring others to be generous, too.

A 13-year-old is the first person to defeat the original Tetris game. Previously, the game had never been beaten by a human. The highest score achievable—40,264,954 million points at level 157—had only ever been achieved before through AI. Watch the video to see the boy’s reaction to the win. 

The Oklahoma teen, Willis Gibson, was in complete shock when he got the highest score ever while he was live-streaming. He started hyperventilating and sank into his chair with his head in his hands in disbelief. 

“Oh, my God! Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Yes,” the teen said. “I’m going to pass out. I can’t feel my fingers. I can’t feel my hands.”

He Accomplished What No One had Done Before

His reaction isn’t overrated. The game has been around since 1984, and no human has ever gotten as far as Willis has. In fact, the game’s creators didn’t even think it was possible.

Willis dedicated his win to his father, Adam Gibson, who died just one month before Willis’s win. 

“He definitely would be proud. He'd tell anybody and everybody how good his kid was at Tetris," Willis’s mother, Karin Cox, said.

The previous record holder had only 29,486,164 points. Willis has also competed in several Tetris competitions and says he holds the world record for Tetris on the Game Boy, too. NBC News even helped Willis meet the original Tetris programmer, Alexey Pajitnov, and designer, Henk Rogers, through Zoom, who told him how impressed they were with his skills. 

It’s incredible that a teen was the first person to defeat the Tetris game. He proved that humans can win against AI in a pretty cool way. It’s extra special that he dedicated the win to his recently deceased dad. He surely would have been proud of his son for doing something no one else has.

Get ready to watch some good news reported from East Idaho. An officer goes to great lengths to return money to the right person.

At the start of the video, Caitlyn came to the courthouse a week prior, and she pulled her keys out of her pocket, and a $5 bill fell out of her pocket. She shares how she did not think much about it. Suddenly, she tells of how this morning, Deputy Hall returned it to her in person. She shares about how nice it was for him to go review the footage after he found the money and watched for her return to give her the money back. 

It's an Impactful Story on the Power of Character

She says that she assumed she spent the money on a coffee, and the officer joked that she could go get her coffee now. Their team decided to do a new report called Feel Good Friday with him. They are shown going towards the courthouse to find Deputy Hall to give him a surprise Texas Roadhouse and Amazon gift cards. The deputy comes out, and Caitlyn tells him that this is no emergency and she wanted to thank him for giving her the $5 back. She wanted to ask why he kept it. He shares that his goal was to be honest and that $5 is a lot of money to some people.

They ask him if he has done this before, and he says that they watch the cameras and things come up where they return. The news anchors shake hands with Deputy Hall and are able to thank him. It is an encouraging story about character and honesty in a world that is tainted.
