12-Year-Old Collects 30,000 Diapers for Families in Need

A single 12-year-old collects 30,000 diapers for families in need. It is just incredible. A volunteer at Nourish Phoenix since she was just 7, 12-year-old Sloan Petty has a huge heart for families. Watch the video to see how she received donations of over 30,000 diapers for the Arizona charity.

Nourish Phoenix provides food, clothes, and, thanks to Sloane, diapers to families who really need them. Sloane was able to rally around her friends, family, and neighbors to get diapers for those in need.

It is just incredible that a middle schooler could do all of this. Sloan shows that she is every bit her name. The meaning of the name “Sloan” is “mobilizer.” She is a leader who motivates and mobilizes people for good causes, and it is so touching to see.

“If we have the ability to give people something that they may not have or need, it’s really important to do that,” Sloane says.

Young Girl's Compassion Inspires a Community to Give Back

In her first year of collecting diaper donations, Sloane received over 7,000 diapers, and it’s grown every year through sloansdiaperdrive.org.

Nourish Phoenix said, “Diapers are one of our most requested items, making Sloan’s passion project an invaluable resource for the families we serve. Thank you, Sloan!”

Sloan’s efforts just go to show that even kids can make a huge difference. Most children aren’t given the time, opportunities, and encouragement to bless others in this capacity, so it is great that Sloan can do this.

It’s great that Sloan has loving, supportive parents behind her who help make her dreams of helping people come true. They recognized that she loves helping others and helped her make this drive possible. It’s wonderful.

"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

Middle Schoolers Make a 5-Year-Old's Birthday Unforgettable

This special group of middle schoolers makes a 5-year-old's birthday unforgettable, and it is cool to see. It was a complete surprise when the middle schoolers sang “Happy Birthday” to him at a skate park. Watch the video to see how it all unfolded.

It was little Carter’s 5th birthday in South Brunswick, New Jersey. His mom took him to a skate park to celebrate. Carter is on the Autism spectrum and doesn’t do well with crowds of people, so his mom was a little nervous when a lot of middle schoolers suddenly showed up to skate.

It turns out, she didn’t have anything to worry about. The middle school boys were very sweet and wanted to teach Carter how to skate. They spent time with him and made his day when they all sang “Happy Birthday” to him.

A Simple Act of Kindness Gives Carter a Birthday to Remember

The memory brings Carter’s mom to tears. It was so surprising and touching to see how they doted on her son, a stranger. She tried to capture as much as she could on video, and Carter has loved to watch the videos since, and he’s talked a lot about those boys.

His mom said, “You just want to see the kindness in the world, and I wanted Carter to have a good birthday… And they were just so, so kind to him.”

His mom noticed how the experience gave him more confidence, in addition to the happiness boost. And when the local police caught wind of it, they tracked down the boys and celebrated them as heroes. They even threw them and Carter a pizza party.

It is so cool to see how this group of children’s small act of kindness made such a huge impact on this little boy and his mom. Carter had the best birthday, and it is all because of them!

Parents' Heartfelt Response To Daughter's Medical School Scholarship

These parents have such a heartfelt response to their daughter's medical school scholarship, and it is so sweet to see. They could not believe their ears when their daughter told them the news. Watch the video to see their reaction.

When Sophia Barnum told her parents that she got into the Duke University School of Nursing with a scholarship that would cover 75% of her tuition, her dad threw his hands over his head and walked away in disbelief before he turned back to hug her. Meanwhile, her mother held her hands to her face and cried happy tears.

“I would not be here if it wasn’t for their unconditional love and support,” Sophia said.

Proud Parents Celebrate Their Daughter's Incredible Achievement

The video of their reaction went viral on TikTok with over 50k views. It’s easy to see why—this reaction is so sweet and authentic. Their pride and happiness in their daughter is so evident; you can almost feel it as you watch their heartfelt reaction to the news.

Duke’s School of Nursing is highly prestigious. It is ranked as the No. 4 school of nursing in the U.S. and is rated the No. 3 school for a nursing master's degree in the U.S. It’s a big deal to get such a huge scholarship to go there.

Sophia is very lucky to have parents who want so much for her and celebrate with her in big moments like this one. It is so beautiful to see this family’s reaction.

This shows how her educational journey was a shared effort in her family. She didn’t do anything alone, and I’m sure her parents are honored to be so involved in their daughter’s life. A scholarship like this is incredible all on its own, but Sophia getting to share the win with her parents makes it all the more special.

A Prayer to Seek God When You Feel Afraid and Alone | Your Daily Prayer

Where do you turn when life feels frightening and God seems far away?

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Vivian Bricker reflects on a difficult season of illness, hospitalization, and uncertainty about her future. As she struggled with fear and doubt, she found herself feeling increasingly distant from God.

But through an honest conversation with Him in prayer, Vivian began to rediscover the comfort of His presence.

Psalm 34:4 reminds us that we can seek the Lord in our darkest moments. Even when our circumstances don't change, we can bring our fears before the God who hears us.

Today's devotional explores how prayer, Bible reading, worship, and Christian fellowship can help us reconnect with God when we're struggling.

Join us in praying for courage to seek Him, faith to trust His promises, and peace in the middle of life's uncertainties.

A Prayer to Depend on God | Your Daily Prayer

Are you relying on your own strength more than you're relying on God?

It's easy to become so focused on handling life's responsibilities that we forget how much we need the Lord. And sometimes, the distance between us and God grows so gradually that we hardly notice it.

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Tammy Darling explores the story of King Uzziah in 2 Chronicles 26 and what happens when self-reliance replaces dependence on God.

Through Scripture, we're reminded of the importance of humility, repentance, prayer, and maintaining a close relationship with our Heavenly Father.

No matter how far you feel you've drifted, you can turn back to God today.

Join us in praying for renewed faith, a humble heart, and the willingness to trust God in every part of our lives.

Are You Missing the Season You’re In? | A Prayer to Be Present

Are you so focused on what's next that you're missing what's right in front of you?

Sometimes life changes before we're ready. The seasons we love seem to pass too quickly, while the difficult ones can feel like they'll never end.

But Psalm 65:8 reminds us that from morning until evening, we have reasons to praise God.

Today, I'm praying for the ability to slow down, appreciate the moments I might otherwise overlook, and recognize God's presence in the season I'm living right now.

We don't have to wait for the next season to seek His goodness.
