I Need A Hero

What defines a "hero"? Many people have sports heroes, who really don't do much to enrich their lives. But what about a fireman who pulled you from a burning building? The truest heroes save people from death, and JESUS CHRIST is the truest HERO ever because he saves people from everlasting death. See what motivated Jesus to want to take the game winning shot.

1-11-15 MESSAGE: "Going Once, Going Twice, Sold!"

The Lord Jesus Christ was tempted in the wilderness by the devil. We too are tempted to sell or exchange our souls for similar things Satan offered the Lord. This is a powerful and challenging message that will make you reexamine your motivations and the nature of your walk with the Lord. Have you really taken up your cross to follow Him? Have you genuinely been crucified with Christ? Or do you seek to prove our relationship with God by believing Satan's lies and seeking rather to satisfy your flesh, constantly seeking spiritual manifestation, and avoid all pain and sacrifice.

2 John 1:7-13

7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. 13 The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.

HOW TO WIN OVER SELF

ASST. PASTOR HERMAN L. DANSBY REMINDS US THAT SELF IS OUR WORST ENEMY IN OUR CHRISTIAN WALK. WE NEED TO DESTROY THE DIFFERENT BRIDGES WE TRAVELED ACROSS AS WE FORE-TAKE THIS NEW JOURNEY SERVING GOD.

I Be, Therefore I Do

Who BE you? The answer to that grammatically-stricken question is key to this question: What Do you? In God's economy, BEING precedes DOING. But in religion, and too often in life, we are taught that we must DO something in order to BE someone. Bull. The biblical pattern is GRACE unto works. Check it out.

JUST TRUTH IT is dedicated to helping you understand the Word of God by providing accurate, sensible, inspiring, and entertaining biblical teaching so as to make known the Lord Jesus Christ, the Living Truth, and thus facilitate a worldwide community of mature Christians committed to following him by living the truth of God's Word and sharing it with others.

If you've got questions, God's got the answers! Have a listen, you'll be blessed you did!

If the teachings you find here bless you and help you in your Christian walk, please consider sowing into The Living Truth Fellowship financially in response to a blessing. You can do so at:

Thank you and God bless you!

Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob, Esau

Southside Baptist Church
January 4, 2015 - Evening Service
Genesis 25:19-34
Pastor Bishop Helsley

Summary: As we continue to journey through the Old Testament history, we take a closer look at the lives of Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob, and Esau to understand the seeds of faith and rebellion that began in Genesis, and what implications that has for us today.

Prosperous New Year

Just like you didn't know what was going to happen last year. You don't know what is coming for this new year. Even in your praying you don't know what is to come. Exodus this is the beginning of the months. Jews starts in September-October, Tishri during rashanna. Time of repentance. They have four New Years. Love and harvest. Tide and first fruit.
The making of resolutions: people would look at themselves and try to see where they are right now. We need to be taking inventory on the things that we want to be able to accomplish. Or did we accomplish the things that we wanted to accomplish? Mary is not the mother of God. That is why we can't get the things that we want, because we pray to the wrong God. We must understand what the Bible says. Jesus is the Son of God. We are not serving 3 Gods was are serving One GOD.
God is the word that took on flesh thru his Son Jesus Christ. Don't let people fool you about evolution.... How can you believe in evolution and believe in God. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, that is how sin came into the world. God wants us to know that He is the one in control.
If you want to have a happy and prosperous New Year you have to a line yourself with Christ Jesus. Man doesn't want to believe that they are sinners...

. The father and Jesus are One. You need to know who Jesus is.
. Your blessings are running up to you.
