Save Me From Slander

Have you ever been falsely accused? Have you ever been the victim of slander or false gossip? David knew all about this type of treachery. Psalm 7 is his appeal to Jehovah for justice and vindication. King Saul was of the tribe of Benjamin. The mention of Cush as a member of that tribe leads one to believe that David had been falsely accused by him to the king. David had implored God for preservation from all his enemies.

Custodians of the Truth

Custodians are people who are to take the responsibility for taking care of something valuable such as paintings, books, even houses. The Jews were proud that they were custodians of the oracles of God. (Romans 3:1-2) But they did not do with the Word what they should have. (Romans 2:17-24)

Paul's Farewell To The Ephesians

Paul had much to say to the Christians at Ephesus.  He finished his letter with a fond farewell to them.  We will look briefly at those closing remarks and then focus on the theme of the book.

How to Agree With Yourself

In light of the fact that a Christian has both an old sin nature and a new righteous nature, it if often not that easy to agree with yourself, so to speak. Our goal is, as Paul succinctly stated, that our way of life agrees with what we say. And it can.

He Who Laughs Last

God invented people, and gave us flexible faces. As per Proverbs 15:13, your face is a mirror of what is in your heart, running the gamut of weeping with joy to weeping with sorrow. Scripture has much to say about JOY, a fruit of the spirit. If a smile is the look of joy, then laughter is the sound of joy. As this teaching shows, God speaks of two categories of laughter.

JUST TRUTH IT is dedicated to helping you understand the Word of God by providing accurate, sensible, inspiring, and entertaining biblical teaching so as to make known the Lord Jesus Christ, the Living Truth, and thus facilitate a worldwide community of mature Christians committed to following him by living the truth of God's Word and sharing it with others.

If you've got questions, God's got the answers! Have a listen, you'll be blessed you did!

If the teachings you find here bless you and help you in your Christian walk, please consider sowing into The Living Truth Fellowship financially in response to a blessing. You can do so at: https://www.thelivingtruthfellowship.org Thank you and God bless you!

Should Christians Keep the Sabbath Day?

Read Exodus 20:8-11. “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” NKJV While Moses was on Mt. Sinai, Jehovah gave him what is commonly called “The Ten Commandments.” The fourth one is the one under consideration today. The question then for us is, “Should we keep the Sabbath?” God’s Word will reveal the answer.

"The Consolation of Israel," Luke 2:21-40. 12/28/2014; Rev. R. Scott MacLaren

When young people walk into a small church and discover the pews scarcely populated by elderly members, their first thought might be to look for another church because nothing is happening there. That may indeed be the case, but often there much to learn from the elderly. They have a depth of experience, especially in spiritual matters, that the young would do well to heed. Watch as Pastor MacLaren speaks of two elderly saints in the Temple who said some very profound things when the baby Jesus arrived at the Temple with Mary and Joseph. Perhaps you should hear what they had to say as well! This sermon was preached at First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, on December 28, 2014. First Church is a member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The Rev. R. Scott MacLaren is the pastor.

The Story of Ruth - Chapter 1

Pastor Cari continues the series we’ve been working through at New Hope; looking at Old Testament narratives. In this message she looks at the first chapter of the book of Ruth. As we do, we’re going to listen to this story with the ears of the people who would have heard it that day as well we’ll look at eternal truths that speak to us today, here and now. Homework is to read Ruth chapter 1.

Ruth 1:6-18
When Naomi heard in Moab that the LORD had come to the aid of his people by providing food for them, she and her daughters-in-law prepared to return home from there. With her two daughters-in-law she left the place where she had been living and set out on the road that would take them back to the land of Judah.
Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back, each of you, to your mother’s home. May the LORD show you kindness, as you have shown kindness to your dead husbands and to me. May the LORD grant that each of you will find rest in the home of another husband.”
Then she kissed them goodbye and they wept aloud and said to her, “We will go back with you to your people.”
But Naomi said, “Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? Am I going to have any more sons, who could become your husbands? Return home, my daughters; I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was still hope for me—even if I had a husband tonight and then gave birth to sons— would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It

Positional Truth (9) - Regenerated by Christ's RESURRECTION Power (2)

Jesus is the 'Firstborn from the dead', the 'FIRSTBORN among many BRETHREN.' When we were put in Him the Spirit released His resurrection life into our spirit and we became New-Creations. The same operation of God's power that raised Christ raised our spirit from death to life. So it consists of His victorious resurrection life and nature.

The Holy Spirit (2) - Hilary Walker

God has a wonderful Plan for your life and has given us His Spirit to dwell within us, helping us to discover it. As we learn to yield to Him, He leads us into God's perfect will. Hilary encourages you to step out in faith with the help of the Spirit. One key is allowing Him to pray God's perfect will through us (Romans 8:26-28).

The Holy Spirit (1)

Hilary shares from Scripture and her experience about the Person, Work and Ministry of the wonderful Holy Spirit. We need to be filled with the Spirit and trust in His power WITHIN (for life and holiness) and UPON (for ministry). By partnering together with Him, drawing upon His life and wisdom, we become a Dynamic Duo.
